Thank you to my wonderful husband, Joshua Halse, for hooking me up with my new Bronco Sport! I love it 🙂 It drives similar to that of an Escape, it’s compact in size, comfortable, and much ‘zippier’ than my Explorer. DePaula is a great place to buy a car. All the employees are knowledgable, friendly, and helpful and make sure you’re welcomed with a smile (behind the mask). It’s a non hostile, high pressure sales environment unlike some other dealerships out there, which is something I’m sure a lot of people would certainly appreciate. If you know what you want, and they have it available, you’re in and out in no time! Highly recommend DePaula to all.

My experience was absolutely wonderful. Trevor, the salesman who helped me out was great. He understood what I was looking for and I was treated like 1st class. I was only there to do some tests drives and by the end of the day I put a down payment on my Escape. Trevor even brought me next door to DePaula Chevrolet to let me text drive a Chevy Equinox knowing that they were competitors. I can’t recommend DePaula Ford and Trevor enough….my whole experience was just wonderful and completely hassle free.

Bought my 2018 Mazda CX-5 from another Mazda dealer in the capital region and took my car there for service because of some idea of loyalty and they were close to my home. Terrible experience there – twice! So this time I decided to try DePaula which is a farther drive for me but WORTH IT. The service and whole experience is incomparable! Was treated with respect from the beginning! Facilities much nicer from the start. Josh was my service contact and he was great. Spoke to me with respect and like a person from the beginning. I felt zero pressure and felt that he truly listened when we were speaking and if I had a concern. Sounds silly but all services I requested and paid for were completed – can’t say this was always the case at the other dealer… highly recommend DePaula for any service needs. I know I will be returning and would strongly consider them when purchasing a car in the future.

I found the service operation to be well run. They set me up with text alerts, so I walked over to Gateway Diner for lunch since it’s right there. They text me with a video of service to let me know what they did and any other information. I was out of there on time according to their estimate. Overall, it was a very painless experience. Grant it, it was an oil change but I did have some other questions and concerns that they addressed. If I had gone anywhere else they would have tried to convince me that my brakes were bad or that I needed new tires. There was no needless up selling and were honest with their assessment of the life left in all the pieces inspected. The assumption that you’re an intelligent person will always be a selling point for me, so I will be back.

Poor customer experience overall. Didn’t feel at all valued or appreciated for doing business with you. Given inaccurate time frames. Lack of attentiveness and urgency from our sales representative. Didn’t even fill up the new car with gas! It’s the small details that make customers want to return, and this dealership disappointed.

My experience at DePaula Ford was excellent from start to finish. Mark Minoogian spent several hours with me discussing the different vehicle models and set up test drives in three vehicles. Jim Rosamino provided cost estimates for each of the three vehicles and both Jim and Mark kept in touch with me until I made my decision. Turning in my current lease vehicle (a 2018 Ford Fusion SE) and taking delivery of my new 2020 Ford Fusion was both a smooth and quick process. Customer service was great but the work Quality not so great. They did a motor and transmission change and when they did my motor they damaged the mass flow sensor wired along with the wires to the EGR valve, they put a cracked exhaust manifold back on and never changed any of the gaskets or spark plugs. Due to the damage to the wires on the EGR, I had to replace the valve. Never Tightened the hoses to the radiator

“My car was in an accident and in a rush to get a new car in the insurance allotted time frame, I chose to go to Depaula Ford/Mazda in Albany. It is the worst decision that I ever made. They made the process so tedious and stressful. I worked with Devin and for some reason whenever I called I was not able to get in contact with him to ask questions. The vehicle I chose from the monitor was not the one I was shown when I returned despite it being “”on hold”” for me. Inside the vehicle was stinky and the seats had stains all over it. When I went back inside and explained that I did not want that vehicle I was told that I was already approved for it and basically (had to take it). I refused and was told that I only qualified for a specific amount which I know for a fact was not true. After I protested they miraculously got me an approval for the new vehicle I wanted. I was told to come back and I made a deposit on it(which they are still yet to provide the receipt for despite me asking for it.) I was not contacted by anyone there to finalize anything until the day I was supposed to pick up the car I was told I needed to put down another $1000. It ended up being a back and forth and so I had to unfreeze my credit again so that they could run it a 2nd time for a new approval. I was then asked to provide my registration about an hr before car pickup when asked if they couldn’t find it with my plates I was told no and then yes, which they did. They called my insurance company and gave them the wrong VIN number on the day of pickup and I had to call to fix it(he did not answer, so I sent a text and got the correct number, called my insurance company to update the information myself). I went in and got the car, when I got home one of the keys was an incorrect key. I called to let Devin know (no answer), so I sent a text, went in and got the correct key. Through all of that I said that I was not going to leave a review and let bygones be bygones, but today they sent me an email saying that the registration was done for the wrong vehicle. So, I have been driving around for days now with that!! I would really nor like to believe that it is a race thing but I definitely feel that I was treated differently than the way I saw them treating Caucasian customers. If I wasn’t in great need for the car and on a time crunch I would honestly not purchase from them at all!! I have bought cars before and this is by far the worst experience that I have had. I would not recommend them or buy another vehicle from them at all!!!!”

I recently purchased a 2020 Ford Escape SEL. I absolutely dread car shopping but the team at DePaula were great to work with! “Have a 2018 leased Escape. It has had a number of problems; about a month ago, after a break down on an interstate we discovered the entire had to be replaced. After 8 days in the shop, we picked it up and as we were nearing home we heard a “”rattle”” in undercarriage. Brought the vehicle in to ascertain what was causing this rattle. My husband waiting 2 hours 45 minutes at which time he left and the “”rattle”” still very much with us. Nothing was shared with us as to what they did all this time to repair. Very frustrating experience.”

My Ford C-Max has only 50,000 miles and it started making a loud noise when I drove. I took the car to DePaula and they said the transmission needs to be replaced, costing $9000. That’s more than I could get for the car. I asked them to see if Ford could give assistance with this expense and nothing has happened. Right now my husband and I are sharing his car and my car is in our garage not being used. I’m not sure what to do.

I went there yesterday with the full intention of making a deal. I wish I had gotten the salesman’s name. He was rude and not very personable. I explained what I was looking for and and just thew anything at me without really listening. Then while I was out looking at the vehicle he threw at me he rushed off and disappeared. After about 15 minutes, I found him inside sitting down with another customer. After they left I asked some questions and I felt like I was wasting his time. I have bought from them before, but will never again. Treat me like you want my business, not like you’re doing me a favor.
Had a great experience with Depaula Ford . I’ve bought several cars through Depaula over the years, each sale gets better! Service and sales were great, can’t complain. I had a deal and car under 24 hours along with great customer service. With COVID no one wants to sit at the dealer for hours. Most was done on phone, arrived next day and everything was finished on time ready to go. I dropped my car off friday for a check engine light, they never called me with the diagnosis, and then all they did was lie to me about when my car was gonna be done. thia place is very mismanaged and doesnt do well with customer service. My Ford F150 was dropped off for a warranty paint repair (bubble in paint on the roof) along with the backup camera recall and installation of the tailgate assist. I was given a loaner vehicle for the time they had the vehicle. The warranty paint work was completed and the backup camera recall was completed. Due to a slight mix up between the repair and body shop, they had the vehicle alitte longer then expected. Jeff Winne who is the body shop manager informed me when I picked up the truck 5 days later that due to this mix up they covered the cost of the tailgate assist, painting that part to match the truck and installation. The tailgate assist part comes in black and I have a white truck. They were very professional and do make sure that the customer is satisified, Jeff also apolozied for the delay.

Even during a global pandemic and social unrest, Jay Yudzevich (Sales Manager) exceeded all expectations and provided me with a phenomenal experience. Let me just say, I rarely write reviews because I am not easily impressed, but the service Jay provided has to be shared. First and foremost, Jay’s authentic personality and positive energy is unmatched. When working with Jay, I honestly felt as if I was talking to a trusted friend. He listened to my concerns and hesitations, answered my countless questions (I asked a lot of questions), provided me with insight regarding my options, and most importantly, took his time when working with me. I didn’t not feel rushed or dismissed. I felt valued, heard, and appreciated. Jay ensured I was comfortable and understood the process thoroughly (from searching for car, finances, services and so forth). He explained and reexplained information to me, and did so with a smile on his face. His communication skills are well-developed and he before I finalized everything, be made sure I fully understood what was happening. I have heard horror stories about car dealers and their manipulating techniques, but Jay put all of those to rest for me. It was truly a pleasure to work with him for my first car purchase. I will recommend my friends, family, colleagues and extended networks connect with Jay and the dealership he works with when they are ready to explore their options. 10/10 experience and I cannot wait to see Jay when it’s my time again. Service was great. However, took 2 days to get what I needed done. Diagnostic fee a bit pricey but it is a dealership. Otherwise, everything was great. They did not try to sell me any repairs I did not need. They did suggest brakes and gave me an estimate.

The experience of buying my new truck was very pleasant from a sales perspective. But that’s where it ended. Upon driving off the lot I found that the front directionals didn’t function. Mind you, this was a brand new, custom ordered truck and it had “passed” a NYS inspection which should have checked their functionality. When I brought the truck back, the service center was all apologies. I contacted the sale manager, who’s name is Jim, to see how this happened. His response that whoever did the inspection would just say it was working when they checked it didn’t sit well with me. The service center diagnosed the problem as a programming issue. The truck had LED headlights but came programmed for incandescent lights. So there is no way possible that the lights worked during the inspection. It seems pretty obvious that the inspection sticker was just slapped on and that the vehicle never even got checked over when it arrived from the factory. Would this experience give you confidence it this dealership?

I bought a 2020 Race Red Ranger. I have been eye-balling this truck for months, and really never thought I would be able to buy it, until I contacted Zak. He worked with me over the phone. He was awesome!! I could not believe how much interest he gave me, in what I wanted. He proposed a deal that convinced me to drive up to look at the truck. Went to Albany and then dealt with Alex, who was so kind and helpful (and patient). There was absolutely no pressure on me. Got a super trade in value, and price on the truck. “They are liars, I bet if I were caucasian I would of received better service. Had my car for 5 days and still did not do all the requested work. Made up a bs LIE of why they couldn’t finish and even lied about the things they say they did. I came to pick up my vehicle that they had just supposedly took it for the final test drive the reason they had it for an extra two days and the car was ice cold and had not even been moved or turned on until I got there yet they made me wait bc they were””taking it out””. When I checked my milage It had only moved 2 miles instead of the 5-7 miles they were suppose to and insisted they did. Its sad I have yet to find a decent Ford service center in the Albany Ny area that has made me feel like I could trust them. Will Def NEVER buy ford again!”

Funny thing, I wouldn’t have thought about posting this until I got an email from DePaula Ford asking for my opinion. Want to know what I think? Here you go… I turned in my car over 3 weeks ago for some routine maintenance work (replace belt, oil change, rotation, other stuff…). Stopped in over a week ago to find out the status. Initially the guy behind the counter couldn’t find my vehicle in the system. Eventually it was located, and I did in fact drop it off there. Inspection was not yet done, and agreed to replace wipers. Over a week after that, I’m still waiting to hear back. Not impressed. So the question becomes, what have they done with or to my car? Don’t know. Either way, they owe me a vehicle. You asked, DePaula.

I had a list of roughly 25 things that needed done for my 2009 Escape. I pulled in and was told by 3 different people that I have cleanest Escape they’ve ever seen. Lenny took me in and listened to everything I had on my list, I walked him to my trunk and showed boxes of Ford parts I wanted swapped out. They let me have a 2020 Escape courtesy loaner for four full days. They called me frequently to update me on what’s up with my vehicle. They were fantastic with that all the way around. Pickup of the vehicle went promptly! Lenny was very good at separating my invoices, delivering my vehicle to me, and exchanging back my rental. Everything was almost seamless. I would say the ONLY reason I dropped this a star is because the area around my driver side door handle, the clear coat on it was scratched like no tomorrow. I don’t know what happened but it definitely wasn’t like that prior to dropping it off. Overall, very good experience minus that one issue. Will definitely be going back in the fall to have my brake pads changed and oil changed.

This is our second purchase from Glenn. He is friendly, knowledgeable & a straight shooter. He gave us a good car at a good price & a fair trade in. Everything handled very efficiently. We also dealt with Stephanie, the Finance Manager who was equally knowledgeable & impressive. And finally Zac explained all of the features of the car to me, taking his time & using examples & terms that made sense to me. Kudos to DePaula for making an experience that I normally dread into a nice experience. I will be returning.

Went to pick up a car i was approved for- i had filled out 2 financing applications stating i owed $5000 on my old car and wanted to roll over on payments. Also spoke on the phone with Aimee and Jay telling them both i had owed money on my car. Got quoted for a lease for $3000 down and $305 a month for a new 2020 Ford Explorer. Went in and spoke with Frank, while getting paperwork Frank had realized i owed money and it jumped up to about $6-7000 down and $490 a month. I was visibly upset and Frank did all he could to help, he was amazing. After going back and forth i wanted to speak with Jay. He came down and ultimately told me i wasnt telling the truth and if i could show proof in emails or texts. I started to cry at this point because my character was being diminished by asking to show proof. In the end i ended up getting the Explorer since Frank was so unbelievably helpful and thoughtful in the whole situation.. he threw in inspections and little things for no extra charge. Q was also a huge help going back and forth on the phone for me. Aimee dropped the ball but Jay was not understanding at all. Would not recommend speaking with him.

So I want to start by saying the 5 stars is for the DePaula service advisor staff, and not for my F-150. My F-150 has been nothing but a warranty work pain since I bought it. The guys at DePaula have taken every issue in stride and always do their best to correct the issues, it’s actually to the point where all the service advisors know me by name. Several repairs had to have re-work done, but again it wasn’t the staffs fault, more of a design issue with the truck. With all the issues I had with my truck I lost faith in the Ford brand, but I would never hesitate to recommend someone to go to DePaula for service or sales help. The staff is super helpful, they listen to the problem, and do their best to find the issue and correct it. The added bonus is they do have loaner vehicles for folks that have longer repairs or are in a one vehicle situation. Would like to recognize Josh, Alex, and Justin for all the help they’ve been

“I had to down size from a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab because it would not fit in my new garage. I went with the Ranger 4×4 XLT Sport four door. I just love this truck! It has so many new features that I am thoroughly enjoying. I started out shopping at another dealership with a salesman that didn’t seem to interested in selling me a new truck. He handed me keys a license plate and two screws for the dealer plate and said screw the plate on and go for a ride. Needless to say I could not strike up a deal. Very disappointed with one of their supervisors at the service department, I bought a battery from them for my 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid and in less than a week it started having problems and the voltage keeps going down and I realized that the battery they recommended for my car according to sales department knowledge had a lower Cold Cranking Arm compared to what was originally on the car. After 5 days I went back to explain the issues am having and one of the Supervisor/Team Leader at the service department insisted with an arrogant and unfriendly tone that it’s not the battery but my charging system which is totally unfounded pure lie because I started having this issue after I installed the new battery I bought from them. Whatever his name is and title is, he definitely doesn’t know how to talk and deal with customers. Am very disappointed with his customer service and tone and will never want to deal with him in my life again.

I dropped a star because the wait time was quite long even though we had an appointment, and once all the paperwork was done, they handed off the car to us dirty. We had to detail the car ourselves–which is annoying because it’s a brand new car!!

“Surely the pandemic does not make buying cars easy but dealing over the phone with sales manager could be nicer. After all you are the client. However, at DePaula Ford after working on the deal i was left feeling like they are doing me a favor of even talking to me , where i am the one buying the car. Final culprit was talking to guy “”Sales Manager”” who just kept telling me how great they are doing during the “”phone only”” sales. This isn’t my first car purchase but it was a first one when i felt like spending all that $$$ with this dealer is WRONG ! The day I went in for my inspection the service department was very busy. There were two cars waiting outside when they started processing mine. The staff was courteous and respectful. EDIT: After going back and forth with the service department, they made it right in the end. Fixed all the recall issues and replaced the broken switch completely free of charge. They were apologetic and extremely professional. What was originally an angry one star review is now a five star. I left the original review below. I believe it was just a misunderstanding and poor communication that led to my problems with them. Would return for service in the future. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Brought my vehicle here for a safety recall roughly a month ago for door latch replacements. Free recall service. They said it would be done by the next day. 4 days later I had my car back. A couple weeks later, I come to find out that my windows are all out of their tracks, so if I roll them below half way they get stuck and won’t roll up without being physically pulled up. Today, I pop the hood to fill up my windshield wiper fluid and notice my fuse box cover has gone missing. Not sure if I got a new guy or if they just don’t care about recalls since they aren’t paying customers. Would not recommend to anyone.
