Second truck purchased through Capitol Chevy. I came back after a good experience with my first truck. Greg Freeman and Ernesto Acosta really made the difference. They both tried to find me a truck around Halloween and with limited inventories nobody would trade for me to buy local. Greg stayed in touch with me and found one with the features I wanted targeted for their dealership and tied my name to it. Ernesto showed me the truck, it’s new features and made the transaction easy and hassle free. He highlighted the upgrades in the new model and really made sure I knew how to use them. Greg sold me the truck I traded in during this transaction and Ernesto closed the deal this time. Super team really delivered!!

Ross Lewis was amazing to work with! We had a specific truck in mind before we got there but still wanted to look at others. He walked that lot with us for an hour looking at different trucks and his no-pressure attitude was really what helped us make our decision with going with Capital Chevrolet. Will my service aid or was Awesome. I booked my appointment over the phone same day for an oil, filter change and tire balance. It was super cold that day so due to remodeling I waited in the mobile trailers and they have outside portable restrooms really nice with a sink nothing I had imagined when I was told they had portable restrooms or I could walk over to the new car building and wait there with restrooms inside. Even though they got super busy I was out within 2 hours. Longer than what I expected but happy my car was taken care of.

I bought my truck in August last year (2020). I took my truck in for an oil change and for an issue with the transmission (on 12/28/20). The truck was shifting hard on occasion and often very rough when transitioning from reverse to drive. I was initially told that it would take up to 2 weeks. Nearly 2 weeks went by without any communication, so I decided to call (01/07/21). I tried calling the service department, but couldn’t speak to anyone in service until I went online and chatted with someone that ended up contacting the service department for me. When I was called I was told that someone should have been in contact with me, but obviously that wasn’t the case. I was informed that my transmission would need to be replaced (a vehicle I had purchased less than 5 months prior). It took almost 2 weeks to simply diagnose the vehicle. Then they had to wait on the clearance from the warranty company to allow the repair to take place. After getting same day approval they sent a request to the parts department for the transmission. The parts department said the transmission was on back order so it could take “2 days or 2 weeks”. For the next TWO WEEKS I requested updates on the status and was always told that they were waiting on the transmission. The transmission did not arrive until 1/25/21. On 1/26/21 I was told that the technician completed the transmission repair and that they were just waiting on paperwork and the extended warranty payment before I could pick up the truck. After calling both the extended warranty company and Capitol Chevrolet service on 1/27/21, I was finally told my truck was ready to be picked up (after 31 days of the truck being in Capitol’s possession). When I finally got my truck back, the transmission had been replaced, but the issue was far worse than before. I drove to work and could feel hard shifting. The most notable hard shifting is when the truck is decreasing speed (but also present when increasing speed). The problem is worst when I am nearing a complete stop; the entire truck jerks hard when the speedometer decreases to 5 mph. You can feel the issue while driving as well as hear an audible cue. When I arrived to work, I immediately called Debbie in service. She told me to bring the truck back and that she would speak with her technician. Not even 10 minutes after I got off of the phone with her, she called me back. Debbie told me that her technician said that this is normal and that the “adaptive transmission needs to learn how I drive” and that I needed to put 300 miles on it for it to do so. If this was “known”, it might be a good idea to inform the customer that their vehicle will violently jolt (before they drive away with a mindset that their vehicle is problem free). Like I have previously stated, the issue was far worse than when I dropped the truck off for service, so I was skeptical that this procedure would remedy the transmission issue. I did as I was instructed and drove 300 miles only to become more familiar with the hard shifting pattern and to know when to brace for the truck to jolt. I will be bringing the truck back in and hopefully this time Capitol Chevrolet can actually fix the issue in timely fashion.

My Chevy-2020 Equinox was having an electrical issue. Since it was under warranty Capital Chevy was one of the places I was told to use. I had never used their repair services, so I did not know what to expect. The experience was great! Friendly, courteous, and professional staff members. Comfortable waiting areas with water and snacks. My primary contact Zack Deleon was always available to take my calls, answered all my questions without hesitation, and kept me up to date on the status. I got a loaner while my car was being fixed, it was in excellent condition and well maintained. I have also purchased Chevy car-mats from them in the past, and their parts department/area is well cared for. Same friendly /professional treatment from the staff in the parts department. Two separate experiences, same great service each time!

Worked on negotiating a purchase of a Tahoe from this agency on a virtual basis. They sent me an offer which I accepted. They agreed and asked me to drive in to finish the deal. They were aware I was 290 miles away but told me they would be open until 8 that evening. I was 30 minutes into the trip when they called me to tell me the vehicle had been sold to another customer. I guess they got a better offer and decided to renege. Not good business.

Constantly have issues with this service department!! Extremely unorganized and they never call you back when asked. Chevy was quick to sell me an extended warranty but slow to make sure my request are met. Loaners are an issue every single time. Definitely will NOT be buying another vehicle from any Chevrolet!!

Really bad customer service. I don’t think they are number 1. My car was there for 3 weeks and not even one call from our service advisor Hector. We called ourselves and Hector said he would get back to us but never did. Then we called the manager he said the same thing and never heard back from him either. My husband and I showed up and they still didn’t know what was wrong with the vehicle. The manager took us out for a drive to hear what the problem was. So after that in one day they so called fixed the problem. Why did it take three weeks to fix a one day problem. Another thing is I drive a traverse because I have 4 kids for 3 weeks I had to drive a equinox. They keep saying that they didn’t have a bigger loaner to accommodate my family of 6. Over all very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Put a 5 star just so you guys can take the time and read the honest truth. Honest truth it deserves no stars at all. Capitol Chevrolet will do anything to get you to take a car and not even a week later, blow up your phone with calls of things going on wrong and wanting the car back. Thought this would be a good place to start to find a new car to purchase. Headed to the used car dept to check out their inventory. Was greeted by a gentleman whose name I didn’t catch who then went to grab a sales associate from the used car dept to assist. She was friendly and nice and let my boyfriend drive the 2020 Chevy Malibu. Nice base model car with about 30k miles and thought this car would be a good deal. Went inside to look at the numbers for the cost of the car and payments. They did a great job to see if I could qualify but while waiting for the sales woman to run more numbers, I found the same exact same car, vin number and stock model on their website for $16,500 and they were trying to sell it to me for $28,500!!!! A brand new, 2021 base model Chevy Malibu retails for $22,100….as soon as I realized they were trying to sell a car for over $10,000 more than what a new car could be purchased and the SAME car was listed on their website for over $10,000 less I was furious. Thanked them for their time and left. I know times are hard for a lot of people right now but to try and scam people like that is horrible. Do your research if you decide to head to Capitol——would not recommend unless you want to over pay for a used car.

Service department is terrible. Every time I call, I get transferred to voicemail and no return phone call after leaving a message. I have had to call back multiple times to schedule any service. On my last oil change, I waited 45 minutes for a service rep to realize I had already been checked in for my scheduled appointment – apparently a miscommunication from the porter. The service advisor at least comped my rotation for the inconvenience. The next day, I received a call to ask about my service experience. I expressed my frustrations with what appears to be an overworked and disorganized staff. I was told my issue would be relayed to the service manager and I would be receiving a call – of course, I was never contacted. They obviously cannot handle servicing their high volume sales that they so famously tout on their commercials. I have decided to deal with another Chevrolet dealer that is closer and cares about customer service.

I felt I was having soft braking issues so I checked the fluid level and noted it looked very low. Instead of adding fluid I took my TRAX to your dealership to have the fluid serviced. When I returned home, out of curiosity I went to check the brake fluid level and noticed the cap was NOT properly tightened. I had my latest oil change done today, and once again, I had great service. My only other oil change, and two recalls that were done at Capitol Chevy, have all been efficient and problem free. Lafayette Turner was my service advisor, and he did an awesome job of what would and could need to be done while servicing the vehicle, and then by letting me know what they were finding that needed attention. I also appreciate the short videos that are texted to you showing parts of the inspection that is being done during the servicing. I was early for my appointment, to allow for traffic, and they got me in and driving off in less than 2 hours, with tire rotate, filters, oil change, and a pretty nice once over inspection. Took vehicle in on appointment and got in back 17 days later. It sat for over a week before even being looked at. Had very little communication with service advisor. He did not return 3 calls on messages left. Also my invoice states that tire pressure was set to GM specs. They were never set and are still low. This is the second time with problems at Capitol. One previous time my vehicle sat on your lot for 2 weeks before I finally called GM to get my vehicle repaired. GM made arrangements to take the vehicle to Henna which I did and got it repaired there. Another time I took it in to Capitol, with an appointment, for just an oil change and was told it would take 2 hours. It is very obvious that Capitol Chevrolet does not have a facility large enough or enough mechanics to service the vehicles they sell. I quit buying Ford products because of their terrible service and switched to Chevy. Should have stayed with Ford because Chevy service is horribly worse than Ford. In fact service is so bad with current dealers I have starting buying only foreign vehicles and will never buy another American brand. Also on this last visit I sat in my vehicle in the service lane for about 45 minutes. (The paragraph below will explain why I would not go into any of your buildings for fear of contacting Covid.) While sitting there I noticed many employees of Capitol not following Covid-19 recommendations.There were so many that I started taking photos and saw 12 to 15 workers not following guidelines. They were either not wearing masks and or standing shoulder to shoulder both with and without masks. The week before I dropped off my vehicle I went into the temporary service building and observed employees in this very crowed building not wearing masks. When I went back in there yesterday to pick up my vehicle, I observed the same thing.

Came in for oil change, emergency brake adjustment and tire rotation. The First Iie was Chevrolet was transitioning from regular oil to full synthetic. So my oil change would cost more. My center cap on wheel was broken when removed for tire rotation and fell off on my way home. Communication was absent with service advisor. They tried to tell me it was loose when I brought it in Lie #2. After calling to inquire about it when I got home and not hearing back from chevy I drove back up there. So they want to charge me half price to replace wheel cap which is not in stock and costs $104.00. So I call parts dept and its not in stock but only costs $81.00 lie #3..and I never found out if they adjusted emergency brake. So long Capitol Chevrolet…

Went to the dealership yesterday (Labor Day) and purchased a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer Activ. Leo Candelas was the sales person who helped me and, let me tell you, he was super knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and to the point. We looked at multiple used vehicles that I had seen online and sort of liked, but once we went over what I was ultimately wanting my vehicle to have and my price point, he pointed me into the direction of the vehicle I ended up purchasing and I could not be more satisfied with the one he helped me choose. The way I was treated by the service department today is absolutely incomprehensible to me. After being quoted a price for a new key my husband went to the dealership and was shocked when they doubled the price they had given us over the phone. I called service again to see what happened to the initial price I was quoted and was transferred to the parts department. Once again I was quoted the lower price that we were initially given. I was then transferred back to service and service still wasn’t able to understand what was going on or why I had now been quoted a lower price twice that they wanted to double. I had to talk to about 7 different people, no one was on the same page at all whatsoever and I was given 3 different prices among the 7 different people I talked to. There was no communication between the staff at all and it was just absolute chaos. This went on for 2 hours and eventually my husband left because the Chevy dealership in San Marcos ended up being able to provide what we needed for half of the amount this place thought they needed to charge. My head is still spinning. This was the worst I’ve ever been treated at any establishment.

So 5 *’s for salesman Steve Pfanic who was easy to speak to, helpful, & honored financial and time limits exactly. (LOVE that!!!) Capitol has been my servicing dealer since 04. I walked around the lot and looked at some awesome contenders but left the showroom due to the loud music. Not sure I would have been able to hear any terms to be able to agree to them. Sadly although the music was concert/club level loud to my ears, I never found the bar or had a waiter offer an alcoholic drink that may have helped me loosen up my purse strings If you have noise sensitivity, Please take ear plugs and maybe see if someone can help you outside the building. It makes me nauseous which pulls me out of my warm fuzzy spending mood. If loud noise makes you want to laugh, party and empty your wallet though — definitely visit Capitol. I do feel like I was given some great numbers.

We had service done on my ZR2 Colorado on 10/24/2020, We arrived 20 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment at 10:00 am. Working with Stephen Pratt was great. The reasons for the 2 star are as follows: 1. After purchasing a $30,000 Toyota 4Runner within the within a few days, I had to put new front brakes on and replace a battery that was very hold and wouldn’t hold a charge. 2. The used car service department also did not do a good detailing inside and out of the vehicle. I noticed in the front of the wheel casing a feather. I pulled and the feather came off but not the legs and feet. Obviously, the carcass had been there a very long time. 3. I expected a professional dealership. It appears that this vehicle had not been processed for resale. If there was a place for a picture, I would post the dead bird legs and feet. In my opinion, the used car department let Stephen Pratt down and me. Poor representation of Capital Chevrolet. Rane

They contacted me next day & try to confuse me with a bunch of numbers to make a sale, the rap got very annoyed with me because I would not budge from my offer to them. Grand it they are for profit business but that doesn’t mean I need to give them that much profit out of my pocket. I told them this is why on TV for guys 59 plus years old they only advertise Viagra and Medicare we’ve already seen it all we know when you’re lying to us, they were half right I might have been born yesterday but it wasn’t at night. The oil filter for my vehicle is difficult to find. The nearest Cadillac dealership is almost an hour away. I went to an oil change shop and an auto parts store, but I couldn’t find the filter. In an effort to avoid traveling a 2 hour round trip just to get my oil changed, I decided to call a GM store, Capitol Chevy. Jorge R found a caddy filter and Zach D found space to fit me in the schedule. The service was excellent. I was out in about 90 minutes. Overall, I saved at least 2 hours of time, got my SUV fixed, and I received excellent service!

Leasing a car here hurt my perfect credit. Buyer beware. When I leased my Chevy Volt from Capitol Chevrolet, their finance team put me on a 39-month lease with GM Financial (owned by GM of course). Paid every payment on time and returned the car at the end of the lease. The other day I receive an alert from Credit Karma saying I have a late payment. I immediately called the dealership, who then forwarded me to GM Financial. Apparently, there was a lease return charge and some type of property tax assessment due that the dealership employee did not mention when I returned the car. In fact, he spent all of 3 minutes with me and told me I was good to go. I’ve leased many cars and when there have been similar charges, those dealers always did a courtesy review of the charges and I was even able to pay on the spot to clear the account. Not all leases have termination charges, so I didn’t really think anything when the Capitol Chevrolet agent got me in and out with so few words or actions. The GM rep explained the charges and I paid immediately upon learning of them. The GM rep claimed they mailed me about the charges. I did not receive those mailings. Unfortunately, they did try to call me, but I leased the car after moving to Austin but before changing my number. Since I’d paid every payment on time and since I proactively reached out to them the minute I was alerted, I really thought they’d work with me on the late payment but they’ve refused. When I talk about the poor communication at lease return, GM Financial points the finger at the dealership. When I called the dealership for help they point the finger at GM Financial. The GM Financial rep told me that I signed the contract and I should have remembered the amount was due. You know I did sign that contract 39+ months ago and I did forget about their lease return charges. It’s also on me that I bought from a car brand like Chevrolet that doesn’t believe in partnership or service at the same level of other car brands I’ve bought in the past. That’s on me and it’s a mistake I won’t repeat. There are a lot of good cars on the road. I recommend picking a car that’s backed by a dealership and a parent company that cares about their customers more than they care about their policies and procedures manual.

My salesman was great! He explained the features of the car and was really accommodating through almost the whole process. The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t let me take my car home to empty it out. The deal wasn’t final yet, I hadn’t signed any paperwork, but they wanted me to take the demo home while I waited for my car to be ready. It was 9:30 at night and I had to take all my stuff out of my car. I left behind my garage door opener, and three pendants on the visor. When I realized and called back they found everything except one pendant. It was of the guardian angel looking over two children (big in the Hispanic community) my Grandma has given it to me and it was old. So I believe someone who had moved the car saw it and took it! There is no way everything else was there but that one! If they would of let me take my car like I wanted I could of took my time and made sure I got everything. I’m so upset.

Went in for oil change and wanted them to rotate the tires also. Nothing was wrong when i dropped it off, but when I picked it up the guy says that my front driver side tire sensor is out. Now the tire light stays on and the check engine light will come on sometimes. I HAD NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR THE TIRE LIGHT ON WHEN I BROUGHT THE TRUCK IN FOR THE OIL CHANGE, and now that won’t return my phone calls to resolve this matter.

I was very disappointed in my experience at this dealer. On December 7th, I made a deal and put a deposit to buy a new truck with a friendly salesman. I was told that my truck would be at the dealership in two weeks that it needed to be shipped from another dealer. On the date that the truck was expected, I contacted the salesman to see if it had arrived. He told me it was not in, but would be “in a few weeks”, no problem I said. Today, January 6th, I asked the dealer if my truck was in, it wasn’t. The salesman put me in contact with his manager, Joshua Mitchell. Joshua said they could no longer honor the deal they made because “employee pricing is over”. This business does not honor their agreements, and now I can’t get employee pricing at any dealer because they made no effort to inform me that they wouldn’t get my truck. I strongly recommend not using this dealer.

I had bought a vehicle from Nathaniel Rosalez and it was the worst experience I’ve had with a dealership. It felt like they were just trying to take advantage of you just to make a sale. The salesman didn’t mention anything remotely important regarding vehicle and maintenance, just trying to sell it because it was nice. I tried reaching out to the dealer but never received a call back. Granted some things are my responsibility so I can’t fault him 100%, but lying by omission is still lying. My experience with the financial side was pretty much the same, just pressuring to buy the car. Again, just looking for a sale. Can’t blame them but it’s not the best feeling. Other dealers I’ve gone to never treated me this way. I would not recommend this dealership, there are many far more friendly and professional. Salesman still had the audacity to ask for a referral despite all of this. Plus sides? They had snacks and the building is clean so there’s that. I’m sure there’s good people, just my experience didn’t involve them.

As to my experience I can’t say I had ever had a bad experience. There’s been issues that has been resolved. However everything was fine from me calling to making a same day appointment getting a shuttle to and from work was excellent getting my car back in a timely manner the only thing I was unhappy with was that I brought the car in to get a my tire fix fine they fixed the tire no problem however they didn’t check the other tires to make sure I was not going to have future problems I didn’t get the video when they work on the car so points being I had to go by the very next day to get air in my other tires that they dint Bather to check and where low on air as well so that’s my one complaint.

An appointment was set for 10/30/20 @ 8:30 am in fact, I was called the day before to confirm that an appointment was with Zack! I showed up for my appointment at 8:30 but Zack didn’t! Hector talked to me at 8:50 am and told me that Zack wasn’t there. An hour passed and my truck was finally was serviced. After my truck was serviced, my truck sat for over 20 minutes. “I’m giving this a 1 star only because I don’t have an option of leaving it with zero stars. The first issue was such that I couldn’t get anyone from the Service Department to call me to schedule servicing of my truck. Unfortunately, I had to resort to texting Alex Flores. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call. When I took my truck in to get it serviced, I strongly believe the issue with the “”Check Engine Light”” on was improperly diagnosed. I dealt with 4 different people which probably caused the quoted prices for a new engine (only 90k miles which I consider not even broken in on a Chevy truck, serviced regularly at Chevrolet dealerships) to fluctuate from $5500 to $9633.08. My truck was in the Service Department starting on 7/3/2020. I picked it up on 8/19/2020. Admittedly, some of the delay was due to me but most of the delay was due to Capitol. Moreover, Capitol would not combine the Chevrolet discount on the quote from Capitol. On 8/11/2020, I left a message with Marisol asking for Nancy Harper (Owner) to please call me but Ms. Harper never called. I did purchase a 2019 Corvette Stingray and also received horrible service back then, too. I’m not sure what changed since I bought my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado in January 2013. Back then, I received awesome service. Service has definitely deteriorated since then.”

Judlouis Reyes was awesome. The problems are with the way the dealership operates. Our vehicle was being used by a manager therefore it was muddy and trash was left behind. Not to mention instead of leaving the dealership with two sets of keys we only had one. There were extra fees that were not on the online price of the vehicle which made for unnecessary price haggling. Upon return for extra key to be made my husband had to wait in dealership for 5 hours. He waited to make sure everything was done correctly because he was told the computer program was down. This brings us to the service department. This is not my first Chevrolet vehicle. This service department has no regard for customers time or transportation needs. In the past, my appointments have been canceled with no communication making me aware. I found out when I got to service department. I had to miss work and make arrangements for transportation. I was not given a apology or even an attempt to be worked into schedule. I was simply told my appointment was null and the person who had made appointment didn’t work there anymore. I had just made this appointment the day prior for a recall issue. With this new vehicle I am given free oil changes at this particular service department and dread using this benefit because it is not redeemable at any other location. I do not wish to interact with this service department as it is today and has been in the past. I gave this dealership another chance with the hopes that something had changed. Judlouis is the reason I purchased this truck. I almost regret it and wishJudlouis worked for a different dealership. This will be my first and last purchase from Capital Chevrolet.

My new Chevy Bolt was delivered to me with in the promised time frame. My sales person Jessie Polk came to work on his day off to make the delivery. Sadly the the vehicle’s electric charger was left behind, an important part, without it an electric car will not move after the battery is depleted. The tires were not inflated to vehicle specs 38 psi( confirmed by the car’s digital dash readout) 33-34 psi all around. The windshield washer fluid container was bone dry. AWheel lug nuts were not torqued to specs. There was a squirrel nest with acorns under the hood on top of the electronics.This makes me to believe that the PDI was not done. My sales person insisted that the PDI was done and offered to mail me a gallon of windshield washer fluid. I am assuming he was joking.

EDIT: Added review where I did not previously leave a review. I’ve had two experiences with Capitol Chevrolet; both of which were subpar. The first experience was as a prospective buyer of a Tahoe. I performed a bunch of research and located a new Tahoe that met my criteria at Capitol Chevrolet. I called the dealership and made an appointment to come by and check out the vehicle. Upon arriving at the dealership, introducing myself, and being paired with the salesperson whom I had spoken with over the phone earlier that day, we went to go take a look at the Tahoe’s on the lot (not the one I had specifically requested). We sat down and he immediately asked for deposit to see whether I was serious. I gave him a deposit and asked to see the Tahoe. He phoned to see where it was located, but didn’t get a response back and asked if I wanted to see the Tahoe’s on the lot to confirm it’s what I wanted (should have been my first warning). We took one of the Tahoe’s out for a spin, and when we got back, confirmed it’s what I wanted. I asked him if they found the Tahoe I had come in for, and he said let me check. 10-15 minutes went by, and he said well it’s not at the dealership; it was actually at a sister dealership in Seguin (despite it being listed as available on the Capitol Chevrolet website, not whatever the Seguin dealerships website). He said no problem, he could get send a driver to bring it up that week. Next day goes by, I don’t hear from the salesperson. Another day goes by, and no call/email. I reach out to the salesperson and he’s like yes, we’re still working on getting it here; hang tight. Another day goes by, and now I don’t see the Tahoe listed on either dealership website. I call the salesperson and he confirmed it had been sold. I asked to get my deposit back and he said it wasn’t up to him – I had to talk to his supervisor and the finance department. After a pleasant by awkward exchange, they agreed to release my deposit, but only after cashing in mine, and they would cut a check for the same amount (rather than just cutting up my check). Again, a few days went by, and I didn’t receive a check. Called up again, and they said they were doing a batch of them coming up soon. Anyway, about two weeks later, I finally got my deposit back, and the transaction was over. My second experience with Capitol Chevrolet was bringing in my Tahoe (that I purchased elsewhere) for a recall before a long road trip. I called to schedule an appointment for the recall and asked how long it would take to repair. Made sure to schedule my appointment for the first of the day, in the hopes that I’d be out sooner rather than later as things got more busy. When I dropped off the car, they said it shouldn’t take long, maybe 2 hours tops. My wife dropped picked me up since we had errands to do. Anyway, after about 2 hours, I called the service dept to see whether my car was ready and could not get anybody on the phone other than the receptionist. She’d transfer me to the service dept, where nobody would answer the phone. I tried calling a few times throughout the days 1-3, and couldn’t get anybody. On the morning of the third day, I drove to the service dept, and I asked for status on my vehicle. They radioed the service dept and said that it wasn’t ready yet. The service dept lady said she was sorry for the inconvenience, and suggested I wait in a small trailer (during COVID) to wait for my car to have the work performed at some point that day. I requested they give me my car back as I had a trip to take the next day. She said very well, and radioed to bring my Tahoe up. Someone drove it up, disinfected it, and handed me paperwork (that I was not expecting). The paperwork said the recall work had been performed 2 days ago, and my car was ready to pick up at about 11am the day I had dropped it off. I went back in to tell the service lady that my car actually was worked on, and she’s like oh, well it must be your lucky day!

If I could rate a Zero Star I would!!! It started out good and went downhill after talking to the original salesman I was dealing with. Yes, they pull the whole let’s switch salesman on you… After I had talked with the original salesman and we talked about the price of vehicles I was looking for and what I needed it was let’s switch salesman and see if we can try and sell you a vehicle we want to and not the one’s you are looking for. Well needless to say they even ran my credit and didn’t even produce a sales order so, I didn’t even know what they were trying to sell me a vehicle for, trade in allowance, rebates, or any other pertinent information that you need to purchase a vehicle. So, watch out and make sure you see every last cent they are trying to get out of you because I was not even made aware of the 1st dollar before being dinked on my credit. Kind of hard to sell a vehicle if the customer hasn’t seen the sales order or invoice…. oh to make things even better I told the Internet Sales Manager that I would hold off on public comment til I received his response to my email…. CRICKETS….. but, I courtesy emailed the ORIGINAL SALESMAN to let him see the email I sent…. his response. Yeah, I had already seen the email…… You can show the salesman the email but, not respond to a potential customer… Needless to say I will not be buying anything from Capitol Chevrolet. If you are a 1st responder and veteran like myself… GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

Recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Scheduling was pretty easy and I had to reschedule, so they never gave me any hassle over that. They had their records up to date to show I had a free oil change on file, so they have good record keeping. It took less than an hour and they have the service department streamlined during COVID-19. You drive up, someone meets you at your car. Everyone has a mask on and you can see people constantly wiping things down. Someone is there to wipe down the steering wheel and dashboard after they exit your vehicle to deliver your car back to you. They have signs everywhere about their procedures. My service advisor Lafayette was great. He was super nice and helpful. He checked in with me constantly and gave me all the info I needed. I’ll keep coming back here to get my maintenance for my car.

It’s not very often you hear people talk about how great their experience was buying a car and certainly not writing a review about it after leaving the dealer well after hours but that’s how great our experience was today. Noe Bazan, our salesperson, told us his goal was for us to walk away beyond excited about our new truck, the deal we got and our experience overall and he exceeded our expectations in every way. He worked hard and diligently to get us the best truck at the best price all with a smile on his face. He even stayed until after 11 pm to see the deal through. Every single person we came into contact with treated us warmly and respectfully, including Alex Flores, the GM, Anna, the Sales Manager, and Monty in helping us get the truck set up. Last but certainly not least was Jemma in the Finance Department. She was friendly, fun and never once made us feel pressured. After walking out, from sheer frustration, came back a day later to finish the hours of back and forth in negotiations. There are a ton of sales associates, so be prepared to feel like a minnow amongst a throng of commision-hungry sharks. FYI: bring your own sanitation wipes / cleaning supplies …. there are few chairs to be seated at & the sales staff are constantly bouncing around from desk to desk -, cubicle to cubicle….minus proper cleaning between guests and one another. After all that, if you stick to your guns and keep negotiating…..you’ll get a great deal.

On 8/18/20 0952 I called for Sonya. 8/19/20 1000 called Capitol Chevrolet Sonya no longer works their, asked to speak to her replacement, call went to voice mail. Called back to talk with Able (only other person I know their) call went to voice mail left message for him to call me. 1105 called to talk with service manager, went to voice mail. We drove into Capitol Chevrolet a young kid came out wanting to know if we had made an appointment on line, I told him you have to be God Dam be kidding me. Ashley Jimenez made us an appointment for 0800 next Thursday, at home I went on line and pulled up Capitol Chevrolet knowing their would be a drop down to click on to make a service appointment, no luck.8/20/20 1454 Called for Able went to voice mail left a message asking him to call us back. 8/21/20 0922 again called for Able, as of this writing he still hasn’t called. 8/26/20 1556 called for Casey our service advisory, went to voice mail, left word for him to call back wanting to know how long it would take and what the cost is going to be, didn’t call back. 8/27/20 your service order number 352014 Casey opened at 0743, he greeted us when we drove in, to our total shock after we drove in last Wednesday 8/19/20 Ashley Jimenez had listed all the things we wanted done (look at your invoice) except the tire repair the only things Casey had on his check in sheet, service the car and state inspection, I would ask here what the hell happens inside your office. Casey said the work would take about four hours, I asked if he would call since we live out in the country, he said he would, he did not. 1231 I called twice as to the status of the car, the first call went to Casey’s voice,mail. I called back explaining we live out in the country can you please check for me (sorry i didn’t write her name down) she put me on hold, came back saying the car was finishing up, but still needed to do the paper work. We went back into town, had lunch, and then picked the car up. At home I went over the bill (Invoice) a common sense Question, if you align a cars front end, wouldn’t you rotate and balance the tires, or at least the service advisor should ask the customer. In closing I have no idea what records you keep, but if you can go back to when this shop first opened you will find this is where our cars have been coming. I don,t know where Sonya is but I can assure you until you learn to answer phones (return calls) even some one like her will have a hard time reviving you. Look on the map, how many service centers do we drive by to get to you, Sonya is the only one that will get us back.”

“Took my Equinox in for a leaking transmission on a Tuesday. The process started out fine, with a video inspection sent to me documenting the leak and other necessary repairs. After speaking with my tech, I agreed to the repairs that they recommended. A few days later, I received a call that the repairs were complete and I went to pick up my car on Saturday. The entire drop off/pick up area was a mess. They were clearly busy, but it took 20 minutes for the valet to bring me my vehicle. After leaving, I immediately noticed new problems with my transmission. I called Capitol Chevrolet once I got home. It took me 25 minutes to speak with someone who knew anything about my vehicle. The receptionist repeatedly directed my calls to different tech’s voicemail boxes. At one point, she told me that my technician was with another customer when I later learned (from a manager) that he had the day off. After finally speaking with the shop foreman, he told me to bring my car back. By the following Wednesday, I had not heard back from anyone in the service dept. I called the shop foreman directly. Apparently, my technician was supposed to call me the day before but didn’t. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I waited 25 minutes for my car. I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. She told me to wait just a few more minutes since the valets couldn’t hear pages in the car garage. After 35 minutes, they seemed to finally start looking for my vehicle. Ten minutes later, they brought out someone else’s Equinox. It became clear at this point that they did not know where my vehicle was. They told me they were “”searching for it.”” Finally, after an hour of waiting, I got my car back and left. From the start, communication with me (the customer) was terrible. My time was not important to them. None of the employees seemed eager to help. Furthermore, I requested a trade-in quote for my vehicle after it was apparent that it had major problems (rebuilt transmission needed) and never received it. I am new to the area and would have been a long time Capitol Chevy customer. I chose Capitol based on their good reviews but my entire experience with them was awful. I will not be returning to this dealership.”

Eddie immediately went to work looking for the vehicle that I was interested in. He stayed in touch with me and let me know what he found and if I was interested in that particular vehicle. I decided on the vehicle and he gave me prices of the lease agreement. All of this was done by phone and pictures. Customer Service comes easy to Eddie. “I took my car to the service department Saturday 6-13-20, I was told I would receive a call and an email with a video showing exactly what was wrong by Wednesday/Thursday. I called Wednesday 6-17-20 and left a voicemail because no one answered. Thursday 6-18-20 @12pm I was told no one looked at it as of yet. I went to the dealership @5:15pm in person and told them I needed the keys because I found another place to do the work. The cashier looked up my information and told me I am correct no charges were on my account and that “”they”” would get my keys. I waited 2 hours and finally Richard Robertson who I am assuming is the manager tells me they looked at it and I would need to pay $150.00 for their time. He proceeds to hand me a handwritten estimate with charges. First off that is completely unprofessional, secondly I didn’t receive an email with video of details of what was wrong nor did I receive a phone call. Lastly, if I am to pay I will pay for what I was told. They looked at my vehicle while I was there for two hours waiting for my keys so that they wouldn’t lose out on money. That is fraud and completely unacceptable, all because they didn’t want to lose out on money. If they would do that just to get $150.00 imagine what else they would do. I will never take my vehicle there again nor will I refer anyone. Chevrolet if this is the service you are offering you should be ashamed. I have tried to get my car towed from the lot and they are now making it difficult to do so. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.”

Sales team is good and responsive, the warranty is 3rd party doesn’t seem to be worth it. The service department needs to take some lessons from BMW of Austin. The place is tiny and crowded to service your vehicle. They try to avoid giving loaner vehicles at all. I can’t blame the employees as they look understaffed and underfunded. Invest in the customer and it will be returned 10-fold. This is the only Chevy service department i’ve dealt with. But I will avoid them like the plague in the future. They seem too busy trying to fight you vs help you. Customer Service training would go a long way – I’d rework the place from the top down.

I have brought my Suburban in multiple time to have a noise fixed. Have done this over the 3 year period of the warranty. Each time Capitol Chevy and said they can’t even hear it. You have to drive to hear it. Then right before the warranty was up we finally had a Service Manager ride with us and he (John Wayne) could immediately hear the problem. Problem here is we brought the vehicle a month before the warranty was out, Capitol said we are booking 2 months out but don’t worry if we write the order it will be covered under warranty. So we come back 2 months later, left the vehicle for a week and they did not even look at it. So we picked it up, they said come back in a few weeks and drop it off again and we did. So guess what it sat there for a week and they could hear the noise. The noise is still there, easily identifiable which tells me they did not even drive it to find it. Now they are doing the it is out of warranty excuse. All this is bull, John Wayne heard it in less than a mile said he would get it fixed but nothing. So we have purchased a new car that has had multiple rattles since we took possession and we are going to have live with it. Can’t believe we paid $60,000 plus for a vehicle we call the rattle trap. I think we are going to just trade it for another but I can guarantee it won’t be with Capitol Chevy. We don’t like all the loud music and craziness when we walk in the sales door. Service is now sub par. We have dealt with Capitol for years with the purchase of our Suburbans but not any more. We think Capital Chevrolet has gone from classy to trashy. UPDATE: JUST TRIED TO CALL THE NUMBER FOR THE CUSTOMER RELATIONS PERSON THAT RESPONDED. VOICEMAIL BOX HAS NOT BEEN SET UP. SO CAN’T CONTACT THEM. TYPICAL. INLINE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PHILOSOPHY
