I worked with Jordan Harris when I sold my used vehicle to Covert Ford. I can’t rate the car buying experience, but I will say Covert Ford gave me a good price on my vehicle. Jordan was extremely thorough and polite during the transaction. He answered all my questions and the sale was very smooth. I would highly recommend Jordan to any friends I have in search of a new or used vehicle.

I own a 2015 Ford Fiesta and I have been coming to Covert Ford for over a year. I have always received great customer service, this time I have felt Myself and my car are no longer welcome at covert ford and I will never receive the same service ever again. When I arrived to pick up my loaner the service advisor “ Brad Massey” confronted me with a complete investigation report on my previous warranty work and made remarks like “maybe you purchased this car at a auction and you are just here to get free recall warranty work, for the dual clutch automatic transmission ” since I purchased the car used in 2017 with 21,000 miles I have come to covert for the same transmission issue twice and the dealership has fixed the issues but this time they didn’t , same exact issue as before. I will not be returning to a dealership that I no longer feel welcome at. It is not our fault ford sold us a car with a defective transmission that ford is suppose to honor and make right by the customer.

Francisco was great. He took time to really explain the features of the vehicle. Even though I had test driven the same car at another dealership, he was more than happy to take me for another spin and really go into detail about the vehicle. I did the leg work and came prepared with the exact vehicle I wanted to look at and ended up buying from them. Went to other dealerships that had the exact same vehicle and didn’t have nearly the positive experience. I would recommend Covert!

This review is for Katelyn and the amazing staff in the service department. I originally was working with Chris until he unfortunately was out sick for a week. Chris made sure I would be well taken care of on his behalf and did an amazing job with the transition to Katelyn. Katelyn went above and beyond to ensure my truck was well taken care of. She was very attentive and prompt on providing me with the status of my vehicle as it was being repaired, what the deadline was looking like, and made sure I had a loaner vehicle if needed. I was not able to pick my truck up once the work was completed. She informed me it wasn’t a problem one single bit and delivered my truck for me! Talk about a 5-star service! Thank y’all for everything you have done for me! I will definitely be returning to Covert 183 with my vehicles!

I had been looking for a vehicle for months and was talking with 2 dealerships. I ended up going with Covert Ford Austin because of the up and beyond service I got from Francisco. He answered all my questions and showed me several vehicles to make sure I got in the vehicle that I really liked AND at the right price. I never felt rushed and he helped me for hours. Once I got the SUV I really loved, he even came in on his day off to make sure the final step in my buying process went smooth and that the SUV had everything done that it needed to. My vehicle is practically brand new and I’ve been dealing with mechanical issues for several months now. I’ve taken my vehicle here twice over the course of 3 months for services yet the initial issues are still present along with some new ones. The first time, I left my car for about a month. Drive my car for a week and still had the same problems. Took it back and had to leave it for 3 weeks. Hardly any communication whatsoever. Same issues are still there. After replacing transmission, clutch, fuel pump, my car that has under 27000 miles and is a little over 2 years old is acting as if it’s on its last breath. Too scared to even drive my car to another location because I don’t even know if it will make it. Curious if parts were actually replaced.

Covert Ford Research Blvd in Austin is a busy place. I made an inquiry online and Alex Galvan called me within 10 minutes. He does not sit still and goes out of his way to give you great customer service. His sales manager, Jacob was helpful. The worst experience with customer service I have ever had. I had a transmission issue and brought it to them under the impression that it would be handled under the recall due to problems with the Transmission Control Module. I called two days later to check if they could provide a loaner for me since I was told it would be two weeks before it would even be looked at. I left numerous messages because no one answers their phones apparently no matter what time of the day you call them. Also no one ever called me back. So I ended up getting a rental vehicle, keep in mind this whole week I am calling three or four times a day trying to get in contact with someone to know an exact date my vehicle will be ready. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK!!!!!! So finally once I got a day off to go up to this terrible dealership, they tell me that my car will not be covered under the recall because it was over the mileage that it covers. So I told the manager you have had my car a whole week and I had to come up here to find that out when you could have called me on the second or third day to tell me that!! But had the audacity to tell me they fixed everything else that was under recall that I didn’t even know about. So here I am with money put into a rental that could have gone to my car getting fixed and they had no intentions reimbursing me, not even the Ford Corporation. I was so furious and just super exhausted by this whole situation that I couldn’t even go into work for two days because I was just that frustrated. I literally just got my car back and now the screen for the radio doesn’t work and now I am having to go back there to try and get this fixed due to them messing up something else. I am so irritated and I’m dreading the experience because they are going to do everything in their power to not help me one bit. I hope they close down because they are just ripping people off!!!! SINCERELY, A FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY CUSTOMER!

If I ever need another Ford vehicle again, and if Francisco is working here, I will be back. I had the pleasure of working with Francisco Alvarez when I recently bought a 2021 F-250. He was by far and away the best salesman I have ever had. He was honest, respectful, and if he didn’t know the answer, he found somebody that did. He made the entire process very easy. Not to mention his customer service even after the sale. I reached out to Cisco after a little incident where I chipped the paint off on the front fender. Not only did he tell me who could fix it, but he took the liberty of scheduling an appointment for me and kept me updated on the status of my truck the entire time it was being repaired. Cisco provided excellent service both during and after the sale and I will always be his customer if my vehicle needs ever change.

I visited the store as a walk in and was greeted with a warm welcome by Ian Harris. I Explained what I was looking for and he took me and showed me a few trucks. I settled on the truck I specifically wanted and all the numbers fell in place with the help of The GSM Carlos. I’m a car salesman myself and they treated me with respect and did not waste any time in any area of the process! Service department does not answer the phone nor returns messages…how do you even get service here? I had the Ford mfr call them to get a service request appt ( which was ludicrous) and they say they will try to get the recall repair done within 3-4 days the appointment. This is for a software update that Ford says will take only 1/2 day…Oooh and no loaner or any type of transport…Wow…great customer service…do yourself a favor and buy another brand or find a third party mech.

Brief but mainly negative review. While i am satisfied with the Ford vehicle I purchased I am not quite impressed with the service from the dealership. The failure by the dealership is not by one person alone but by various departments. I purchased a vehicle from Covert Ford by what i was hoping would be a completely contact free method but now turns out to be not the case. Now going on seven weeks of purchase and still i don’t have a finance contract and the temp tags are about to expire without proper tags even processed with the state. To keep this short, I am very disappointed with my purchase from Covert. Update finally in November, my August purchase is finally complete. Just received my plates and other promise made as part of the deal. Just saying not doing this kinda transaction in the future – In store purchase is better for me.

My Fusion with only 8k miles broke down, bad situation but It happens. I am in need of a loaner car, my situation qualifies for one because it will be in the shop for several days. This is what Nicole, the loaner car coordinator sent me “…I know some people have taken their vehicles to other shops and the repair has been done in a day…. that is the only solution I can think to offer you right now.” Basically Covert Ford is telling me to take my car to another shop for faster service since they cannot accommodate a loner car. No solution given, unacceptable response. If Covert Ford cannot find a way to sufficiently address the needs of their customers then they shouldn’t be in the new car or service business. I welcome a response or better yet, a solution.

The most frustrating experience I’ve ever had trying to buy a car. I was attempting an internet purchase, as I live in Oklahoma. Everyone I came in contact with was an obstacle to purchase. I even sent a detailed email to the Owner and he didn’t bother to read it, just sent it to someone in the Service Dept 😂😂. It is truly amazing that in 2021 a dealership is this bad at handling an internet purchase.They also waited 5 days to tell me the top on the convertible I was trying to buy was torn. Bad bad place to try and do business. Buyer BEWARE!

Don’t go here. Had my truck there for over 2 months. They said the parts were in back order so i ordered them myself. Then i took them to the dealership and they still took a month to fix the rear axle. They constantly lied about my vehicle saying it was being fixed on when it was just sitting there. Save yourself and stay away.

“Covert advertised a F-150 for $34,996. Checked out the vehicle, Sales Rep confirmed that this was the price. When it came time to pay, the manager brought over paperwork and the price was $3,000 higher. They said that this was for “”upgrades”” I walked. 3 emails to Rep, Sales Mgr. and General Mgr., 5 days later, no response from any of them.”

This is the worst buying experience my husband and I have ever on a 2020 F350. They sold us a truck with a recall on it which they did not disclose (a serious recall) and then the engine blew, had to get the truck towed from my husbands office. Then we find out this was actually the second engine this truck has had, this was not disclosed before purchase either. Highly suspect, very shady, decpetive business practices here people. We have given them multiple opportunities to make this right by simply replacing the truck. They refuse to do this and today actually tried to charge us another $13k for an F250 when we purchased an F350. My husband has had to leave his work day on 4 separate occasions to meet with them only to get no solution . DO NOT BUY a vehicle from Covert Ford. Their complete lack of professionalism, accountability and ethics is an embarrassment to the auto industry.

If I could give them less I would. Drove an hour to look at a truck that wasn’t fully for sale yet. Made a deal and said I would buy it in the morning when it was ready. Monty the salesman called the next morning and said it was ready. Left work 10min later to come in to buy it and they sold it out from under me. They service department has also treated my wife awful in the past, leaving her new car more problems than it started with.

I’ve bought Fords my whole life and been to about 10 different Ford dealerships. The best experience I’ve had took place most recently at Covert Ford with Lupita Gonzalez. She has gone above and beyond every step of the way and has been able to do so because she is a phenomenal listener. From helping me get the best value for my trade in to finding the perfect vehicle to buy and drive off in. Lupita has been my advocate on the inside. Most dealerships have a lot of smoke and mirrors where you feel like you have to be on your toes the entire time because there might be a “gotcha moment” around any corner, not at Covert. I consistently added requests as the day went on and it was never met with “that’s going to cost more” or “we’ll have to see”. Lupita would come back and say “I got good news” and when it mattered most, the payment, she came back and said “I got better news”. I had told her what my max monthly payment needed to be, she came back and it was $20 less per month than what I said… That just doesn’t happen at other dealerships. So while you might walk into the showroom and think “this place could use a little love,” just ask for Lupita and you’ll be extremely happy you went to Covert.

As a small business owner in the service industry I fully appreciate the chaos and endless challenges that come with the territory. Over the years I’ve learned valuable lessons that push our organization to be better. The greatest lesson is that many problems can be avoided and resolved through frequent and clear communication. Unfortunately the communication by the Covert Ford Service department has been embarrassingly poor during my relationship with them. When the transmission went out in my Ford Transit Connect at 90,000 miles and needed replaced, I reluctantly had them replace it. Fast forward to August 14, 2020 and with 198,000 miles the transmission was acting up again, and knowing I received a lifetime warranty on the replaced transmission I took it back to Covert. They have had the vehicle in their possession for over 6 weeks and went I returned to retrieve the vehicle today September 28, 2020 they could not tell me what was wrong with it. When requested to be told, all they could say was ‘we will know more in morning’. When I asked to be compensated with a vehicle so I could get to work, they said ‘we will know more in morning’. Have your ever been held hostage? By a company? That is how I feel. Who knows what they have been up to for the last 6 weeks? If you are needing service on your Ford I recommend any and all other Ford dealerships where they actually care enough about customers to provide frequent and clear communication.

Not a good experience whatsoever. The finance department failed to initiate the correct paperwork, delivered the car, took my money and never submitted my paperwork to the lender I have my executed contract with. They have no idea who I am and I have first payment due in a few days. WHAT A MESS. NOW the dealership has been threatening to REPO my car if I don’t put 1500 more dollars down and increase my payment. Mind you, I’ve had the car more than a month now. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER.

Excellent experience 1. The Sales Person: Richi (Richard Marquez) I walked in to the dealership and was assigned to him. He was very patient and took me to many vehicles and took time to explain the differences. Also provided his honest opinion when asked. 2. The Sales Process: From the time I decided the model and the color… the sales process was pretty smooth. The team worked to close the deal [very efficiently] without overwhelming me. 3. Post sale: The vehicle walk through was very detailed. Richi drove my old car back to my home. They basically had me covered.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Anthony Avera in used cars is the best used car sales guy I have ever worked with. I showed up on a Sunday interested in a used F-250 but not really sure what I wanted. Six test drives later and BAM, bought the F-150 I have always wanted and it’s perfect for me and my family! Awesome experience, Anthony was very knowledgeable, and the post-sale follow up has been great. He went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of and done right. Very responsive and helpful service. Finance department did a great job too. I am a very happy Covert customer thanks to Anthony and will for sure be back (and will call Anthony) the next time I need a truck. Thanks Covert Ford!

First time I use Covert for service on my F-150. Took 2-1/2 weeks to change oil and wipers, rotate tires and check a transmission issue. The service supervisor Kate was excellent but it was very obvious she had no support. After 2 weeks, I called for the Service Manager, only to be told that he wasn’t answering his phone. I called three more times for a Manager and was told I would have to go there to see one. THEY HAD MY TRUCK!!! He called later that evening and really sounded put out. I got my truck back today and it was absolutely filthy. Not impressed. I manage a service business and if I treated my customers like this, I wouldn’t have customers. I purchased the truck in Houston and was hoping to find a good dealer in Austin….it won’t be Covert

I had extremely high hopes of this dealership due to the reviews, and my family recommending them after they made 2 purchases. So I found a used Lincoln Navigator and purchased it from them, I had the vehicle for literally a few months before the engine blew, I had purchased an extended warranty, the engine was covered but not all parts they said, after much negotiating, they offered to replace with a used engine and my original coils (which I am just finding out were used in the fix), this process took them 3 Months!!! They also claimed they had fixed recalls on the vehicle but I was informed they had to redo the work as whomever fixed it did it backwards, seriously who do they have working there?? They finally gave me back the vehicle and said I needed a new battery and taillight replaced, I said I would replace on my own at this point so: 1. I could get my vehicle back. and 2. I could replace the 2 items at 1/2 the price they requested. I didn’t even have the vehicle for a week before the used engine (2nd engine) began to give me issues (Check Engine Light came on and the vehicle was sputtering). I confirmed at AutoZone it was engine codes going off. This has been the Absolute Worst Nightmare Ever!!!! I went with Covert because I had heard they were fair, honest and as stated My family has made 2 purchases from them, but this ordeal has literally left me feeling they don’t care about their customers or what they sell them. They don’t back their word and put little to no effort in fixing the problem. **Beware of this dealership folks** is what I would tell others. I am literally on the phone with them now trying to get this resolved once again.. I am a single mother on a budget that has a disabled child so I need a dependable vehicle to get her to dr. appointments, etc. If I would have known all these problems were going to occur I would have never done business here. All I can do at this point is pray they make it right, that’s all I want is the vehicle I purchased to be complete and dependable!!

Service writer ghosted. When I called the main line I was told he no longer worked there. Was informed truck was finished. When I pick it up I see the invoice date was 2 days pryor, so it was finished 2 days before I called to see why it wasn’t done. Now I have been waiting for over 30 minutes just for someone to bring me my truck. Not the Covert service that I get from their other locations at all.

The service department failed putting air in my tires properly twice. They finally suggested a mobile unit come to my home to rectify. How can I entrust this service department to maintain my vehicle when they can’t do something as simple as this? Customer Service is nonexistent. Don’t waste your time, it’s been multiple excuses for many years (high turn over, difficulty finding competent technicians, etc.) This dealership is a joke!

My husband and I purchased a 2020 expedition at the end of September. Fransisco was great. I could write a couple pages long of all of the issues we had from then until mid December In between recalls loaner cars lack of communication etc. Again, Fransisco, our salesman, went above and beyond to try to help us -even when it was outside of his department. However things were a mess (and Matter fact I did end up writing an email “a couple pages long” to whom I needed to reach.) Apparently there was some movement going on within management and service at the time. Enter in Penny. Penny was fantastic in getting MY car back to me and in solving major major issues and making me walk away from the dealership changed from being disgruntled, upset, frustrated, and done with covert – to a pleased and satisfied customer who will recommend covert to anyone I know looking for a vehicle. Thank you Penny!!

I initially intended to hold this review back, because I normally don’t advocate for negative reviews. But after Covert Ford damaged my front bumper by hitting another car in the parking lot (claimed the guy moving my car wasn’t familiar with a manual transmission…how about you don’t let him drive it?) failed a differential repair once, then after the 2nd attempt, discovered now months later that my driveshaft was improperly reattached by almost coming completely off while driving after the 2nd repair, something had to be said. Now, an actual competent dealer (along with Ford Corporate), thankfully & willingly dealt with the fallout from this abysmal experience. Awful communication & customer care all around, from service advisor to service manager. Please avoid Covert Ford like the plague. I cannot stress this enough.

“My Ford Fiesta started having transmission issues, gears wouldn’t shift properly. Since Fiesta/Focus have had transmission recalls issued by Ford, the warranty was extended and it covered my car so I made a service appointment. I brought the car in, specified the main issue was the transmission but also asked for an oil change and an intermittent check-engine light on. I dropped it off on a Wed. Since there were ~50 cars in the transmission issues queue, it would take 2-3 days before it was seen, or so the service advisor told me. He indeed called on Mon to tell me the oil change was done but before being able to diagnose the transmission, I needed to pay $400 for an O2 sensor replacement. I asked to just focus on the transmission and he informed me: 1. Still would charge me ~$140 for the O2 diagnostic and 2. They could NOT diagnose the transmission issues until the oxygen sensor was changed because the scanner had to first clear up the error codes of the O2 sensor. I freaked out because I didn’t want to spend more money on this car and called the Sales Dept to ask for an appraisal thinking about a trade-in. Brian said he would go to the service area and call me back. After 2 days of not hearing back from him, I did some research (that I should’ve done before) and found out that the scanner gives ALL transmission and sensor codes at the same time. The service advisor lied to me and basically conditioned the transmission diagnostic to the O2 sensor replacement. Disappointed, I called him to inform him I wouldn’t go ahead with any more services. He said the car was ready to be picked up anytime. The next day, a Thu, I went to pick up my car and had to wait for 1 hr before it was ready because “”the service advisor isn’t here today and he didn’t mark your car as ready so locating the car is hard””. Mind you, the lady in the register was zero apologetic, she even looked annoyed at me when after waiting for 40 min I gently asked for an ETA. One week and $220 later, all I had was an oil change and a diagnosis of a part that wasn’t needed to diagnose the transmission. Went to a different car shop and they even showed me the screenshots of the scanner with ALL the codes at the same time, and YES it is covered under the Ford extended warranty because it is the transmission control module. I’m taking my car to another dealer.”

Awful Service! My daughter took her Ford Edge to Covert over a week ago to have it serviced when a light came on the dashboard. She was told it would be three days to even get it looked at. She left her Edge there and it is now eight days later. I had to call this morning to find out what is happening with her vehicle, which is nothing, it is still sitting there. Has not been looked at. We are picking up the car today and taking it somewhere that can look at it today. Do not take your vehicle here if you need your car anytime soon. I asked to speak with Kenny Covert, Carlos Garcia and Gene Webb and was shuffled around. Terrible place. BEWARE, you have been warned!!

Tom Bobb, Mike McIntyre, Chris, their financing manager, and everyone else was professional, and I felt as comfortable as I possibly could have been. On December 19th, I was traveling to work and it was raining. I hydroplaned and totaled my Chevy Trailblazer. We immediately started car shopping afterwards. My mom and I went to Covert Ford looking to buy their used 2014 Kia Forte. We saw it online and thought it was really nice. The pictures were great and we were expecting to buy what we saw in the online pictures. We scheduled a test drive with Manny Villegas and the first “problem” we ran into was that he had to go way beyond the car lot to go get the car. The second problem we ran into was that there was next to nothing gas in the car and the tire pressure light was on. We also noted a distinct smell throughout the inside. I thought it was sanitizer, since COVID-19, I would’ve thought they’d spray some sanitizer after test drives. we looked in the back seat and saw this large, noticeable stain and my mom determined by herself that it was coming from the stain. She said it smelled like “old car oil.” Like the car was used to transport car parts or something. We opened the trunk and saw these white specks and my mom said “I think that’s mold.” We get back inside with Manny and continue with the buying process. He takes us to the “lounge” part of the dealership and my mom says to me that she just didn’t feel good about this car. A bad “gut feeling.” We walked out empty handed. With every problem we ran into she just didn’t feel right about it. Covert Ford, y’all need to do better when it comes to selling cars. Especially used cars. Full tank of gas, clean inside/outside. And another thing, he didn’t go with us to test drive it. I was hoping to walk out of there with a new set of keys in my hands but I guess not.

Wort service department in the world, every single time I come in for service such as simple oil changes, brake service, or anything at all, expect to lose the hole day just dealing with them. No body ever gives you a straight answer as to why the service took four or five hours when it should’ve taken 30 minutes. I came for an oil change. I was one of the first one in line and they told me it would take an hour. Three and a half hours later it was still not ready. Couple of months ago I came in for the brakes and the antenna on the vehicle needed to be replace as well, and they told me it would be four hours. Guess what, it end up taking them three days, and when I showed up for my truck they had not even done my antena. One thing for sure, I love my pick up Ford but Covert would be the last place I come to for my next vehicle.

I have bought numerous vehicles from Covert Ford Austin and always had my vehicles serviced there. The last year service has been absolutely terrible. They just don’t care anymore. This is the 4th time in last 3 months that I have been there and they tell you that your car will be ready in a few days and keep it for week or more and don’t give a loaner or anything. Who can be without there car for a week? The customer service is awful. If you have an extended warranty take it somewhere else!

“Service here was very disappointing. We brought our Ford Expedition in for work on the suspension. Our “”appointment”” was Tues. 7am. Our service manager was unavailable at the time of drop off and did not contact us at all Tuesday. I called and texted him on Wednesday 9:20 and again at 12:30. Finally heard back by text at 4:30 Wednesday. He said it had not been in for a diagnosis yet, but that he expected to hear back by Thursday afternoon, and possibly even have it fixed and ready to go Thursday. I texted asking for an update at 3:30 on Thursday with no response. Tried again at 5:20. His response was that he had to leave work early and would check on it in the morning. I called the dealer, and after some run around, they were able to tell me that it needed new shocks/struts front and back and a wheel alignment. They would need to order the parts and could do the work the next week! We took it to Foundation Auto and they were able to do it same day for $400 less than the dealer. Ford charged us $170 for the diagnosis.”

“I waited a bit on doing this review before posting it. There are several positives here. First and foremost, Covert Ford found the exact vehicle I wanted and gave me a relatively fair price on a vehilce that’s hard to find and in demand. Namely, a 2020 Ford Explorer ST. I LOVE the car and it’s a blast to drive. And everyone I’ve dealt with is beyond nice. My salesman, Aaron, is likeable. His manager, Mike, is also likeable. But the follow-up from the sales team is not good at all. I had to send multiple emails to follow up on the extended warranties that I decided to add on after buying the car. (Tire/wheel protection and an extended factory warranty) I’ve finally gotten some of the paperwork on both warranties after repeated emails and promises to follow up from Will, the finance representative. I also had issues with the Android Auto setup on the new Explorer, which I was told would followed up on. The follow-up consisted of being told that the service department didn’t know anything about the issue and to contact Google. There was also a small scratch on a pillar of the vehicle that they promised to follow up on. I was eventually told that the vehicle would need to be brought back to their body shop to be repainted. Further, I was told to handle it through the sales manager to “”make it easier.”” Amazingly, my own scratch and dent contact was able to basically wipe and buff the scratch out in under fifteen minutes. And due to COVID and the general machinations of government, I’m still waiting on my registration over a month later. Long story short is that Covert got me the exact vehicle I wanted, albeit with some minor inconveniences throughout the process that still aren’t fully resolved over a month later.”

If I could give zero stars I would. Made an appointment to have my truck looked at for a starting issue. Called two weeks in advance for an appointment on 8/14/20 at 7am. I showed up at 7am and was informed I would need to leave the truck for 6-8 days before they could look at it. I could have taken the truck elsewhere to have the issue resolved since I have an extended warranty. I will never go back. This is a horrible dealership.

I have never used this place before and I am very disappointed. To be fair it was a place that Ford suggested as there was a safety recall on my passenger airbag. I called on 11/5 to book it in and (note the phrase here -‘book it in’) and they said to bring it by on the morning of Wednesday 11/11. I asked about a loaner because my letters from Ford said they would be provided and they said they wouldn’t have any available. I didn’t push it because they also said the service would be completed the same day. A week later and it’s still there and, if I understand correctly, has not been worked on. I have been lied to multiple times. First I dropped it off and was told that it wouldn’t be completed that day but most likely would be done the next day. That annoyed me because i had been told something else on the phone. I called to check on my car the next day and they told me it was still waiting to be done and they were very behind. I called Friday and was told the service guy was out sick but they would get to it the beginning of this week. I called Monday, they said it was in the queue and would be done that day. I called yesteday and was told that it would be a couple more days. Why am I being told different things? That’s really terrible customer service and sounds like they don’t know what they are doing if they can’t even get on the same page with a time line. Firstly, why did I have to ‘book it in’ if they weren’t ready for it? Secondly, like I said already, why am I being told different things every time I call? And thirdly, I have been left with a car for a week now. They don’t have a loaner for me so i have been left stranded, and as immunocompromised I do not feel safe using lyft or uber. My husband has had to drive me to work this week, but he won’t be able to next week. If I had known they were that busy and behind I would not have left my car there and would have found somewhere else.

Disgusted with the lack of accountability and moral compass of Covert and Ford Corporation. I had catastrophic engine failure on a 2014 Escape Titanium EcoBoost, no fault on my end, 3 weeks after recall repair that affects sensors and overheating of engine. $10,000 repair quote, the majority being labor cost. During a crazy time with pandemic and financial instability, Ford offered no responsibility for a year/model that has numerous issues, no other solutions or compassion for a problem that was Ford’s fault 20 year Ford owner. I bought a brand new Ford for security, reliability and as financial investment as our only family car. It was none of those. Ford and Covert showed no accountability, no honor in representing product and no responsibility. Our trust and loyalty to Ford was for nothing.

“This dealership has some serious issues with customer service. From customer service request detail going missing to service managers and even Mr. Covert himself not responding to customers dissatisfaction. I brought a vehicle in to have 2 door issues and a vehicle error code to be diagnosed and corrected and have an oil change. The vehicles stood there for 9 Business days before anyone touched it and then finally get told the vehicle is ready only to find out no oil change was done nor was the error code diagnosed or corrected. The service rep said he does not show on his system that those were requested to be done the vehicle would have to go back into the service queue which could be another unacceptable up to 10 business day wait. I emailed the service manage and he responded the following day that he would have the vehicle take care of that day. 2 days later I get a message the vehicle is ready and that the oil change and final diagnosis was done for an error code in the vehicle and all tests passed and no issues found. I asked if the the error diagnosis required a computer be connected to the computer to which I was told yes, this raised a big red flag as my vehicle is equipped with an OBD device connected to the OBD port in the vehicle which tells me everything that is going on with the vehicle such as being bumped or doors being opened or when it is driven and yes it even tells me if it was unplugged from the vehicle which would be required for a diagnostic computer to to be connected to it, so they straight up lied to me. When I confronted the service rep about it he claimed ignorance, the service manage did not even feel the need to respond and Mr. Covert himself obviously think he has so much business there why try to save the relationship with one customer as he too did not feel the need to respond to an email I sent him whilst cc’ing the service managers. This dealership used to have much better customer service but as of late has been terrible and when they are caught out lying to you they clam up an everyone is suddenly silent. SHAME on you entire Covert family and your “” Covert Family”” advertising campaigns, I do not feel any near like family.”

I am shocked at how bad the service is here. I took my truck in for a diagnostic screen ($180). I got a call from Chris and told it would be $1,300 to fix the problem. But when I went to pick up my truck, the diagnostic report recommended ~$600 worth of repairs. I asked why the difference, and Chris started writing extra things on the report. Why pay $180 for a partial diagnostic report? Feels shady. But it gets worse. When I picked up my truck, two pairs of (expensive) sunglasses and a pair of prescription glasses were gone. I complained to Gene, the service manager, and he asked me to provide a receipt for reimbursement. How can I provide a receipt for things that I bought years ago and in a different country? I asked him to look at the security camera footage, and he said the cameras haven’t been on in 2 years. Terrible, terrible service. Find a different Ford dealership to go to. I will.

I have no experience with sales at Covert Ford, but I can say from my limited experience with their service department that the organization has some issues. In brief, I made an appointment several weeks in advance to have specific issues addressed and was told on the day of service that I would need to leave my vehicle for 2-3 weeks until someone could look at it. After having the routine maintenance done that they could get to in a timely manner, I was told the service department had decided to close early and I would have to return the following day to pick up my vehicle. I would advise you to call ahead and make sure the service department did not decide to close their doors early. The receptionist advised that 6PM should be their posted close time.

Brought my car in for the warranty coverage of my dual clutch starting to act up in my 2018 Ford Focus. Conveniently, the day after I get it back, it is now overheating (so brought it back asap) and they have told me my cooling fan motor needs replaced. They were polite with talking and discussion – offered a dealer internal price for fix. But, the whole matter is unacceptable. Took my car to be 100% fixed to walk out with a new issue that never existed prior – is not my idea of good practice. My warranty is barely over the basic warranty of 36,000 – so don’t expect customer care to be any help either. Would not recommend as a first choice.

I made an appointment with the service center to have my truck looked at. The lady I scheduled the appointment with said she didn’t know how long it would take and that I needed to come in to speak to a service center rep. I drove one hour to get to Covert Ford. The service center rep said that all services are a minimum of one day and of course they didn’t have loaner cars available. I wasn’t going to take a one hour Uber ride home. So I left. Why couldn’t they have told me over the phone that they would need my truck for at least one day…I could have made plans for someone to pick me up. I am very disappointed in their customer service.

My son in law, a disabled combat vet, bought his truck here. The dealership promised to fix certain items on the truck as part of the sales agreement. One of them being the seatbelt in the back seat where my 3 grandkids sit. The truck was taken in, sat for a week and came back with one item on the list fixed. And no, it wasn’t the seatbelt that got fixed. It’s been over a week and all he has received is excuses. From start to finish it’s been nothing but a hassle to try and get the dealership to keep it’s word. Save yourself the time and frustration and go elsewhere.

2019 Ford Edge Titanium… 28,000 miles!! Don’t do it folks!!! Used car? DONT!! People are great but you WILL be lied to… was told I was getting a certified used car… it has been in service 3 times..I’ve made 3 Payments 😳. I took it to Covert Hutto this last round… almost burned it up due to a coolant leak into the system… previously… screen underneath came off enroute to Plano..vibrations in front end.. . had to buy 4 new tires.. Drove one in test in the rain.. turned on rear wiper… no blade so it scratched the back glass… no big deal to them!! Payment was to high for me to add an extended warranty or gap to it… very afraid I’m going to need that warranty!! Mr Covert… I would LOVE to go work at the Austin location as consumer quality assurance … the Austin location needs a clean out and some serious instruction and training!!

On the morning of 1/28, I had to have my Ford Fusion’15 towed into Covert’s service center after the shifter locked up on me. I don’t have a preferred auto shop since this is the first issue I’ve had with it since I bought it. But boy, I will find an alternative after this. When I initially checked in, my advisor told me I would have a diagnostic/quote by end of day or next morning. I work night shifts, so alternative transportation is limited outside of ride-shares, I didn’t rent a car because I didn’t know how long it would be out of commission and wanted to avoid unnecessary costs. So I waited for a quote. Which never came. Called, my car got put off to the next day. Next day, same thing. Next day, “We’ll definitely get to it at the end of day tomorrow”. Didn’t happen. As I write this, Covert has had my car for 4 days time without running a diagnostic or giving me a repair quote. They now tell me it will be another 2 days before they get to it. They will have had my car for a week without doing anything. They don’t even know if they have all the parts to repair it since they haven’t bothered to run a diagnostic. So I’ll be lucky if I get my car back before next weekend. All the while I’m spending money I shouldn’t have to on ride shares, the bus and now a car rental just so I can get to work and run necessary errands. This whole experience has cost me more than I wanted to or expected to. I will not come to them again. Their assurances are hollow.

“I brought the truck in for a used car sales/buyers inspection. The technician was rude so I went talk to the advisors and they said mechanics don’t talk to customers so they don’t need to be courteous. Wow. Once complete I get the invoice and it is now $380. (I was quoted $280). The report was just vague tech notes scribbled on a form. Example: “”oil leak””. I asked where is the leak coming from. Jennifer said “”to find the leak would be an extra $90.”” They can’t find the leak for my $280?!? Also, a compression test was included in my quote but that wasn’t on the report. Jennifer was NOT a courteous person and I could tell that they just wanted me to leave so I asked for the manager. They said “”he is busy closing the shop since it is almost 3 and they just stared at me. I felt like a republican at a democratic party. I paid the bill just to get out of there. Terrible customer service, poor organization. I took the truck to another shop and they gave me a detailed report for less than $100. UPDATE: 15 days later and still no response to my email that I sent to Paul and Gene (service managers). Here is a sign of how much they care about their customers.”

Buckle up, y’all, because I’m about to tell you about the most fabulous customer experience I’ve had with Ford to date; and it started with Manny Villegas. I used to dive a 2017 Mustang GT and I loved it; LOVED. Ultimately, after a year of driving it, I decided I needed a bigger vehicle. I started putting feelers out for larger vehicles – this was about two-ish weeks ago. I hopped onto Ford’s pre-owned site and started perusing my options. I Came across a beautiful 2014 Cadillac SRX Sport Performance around my price range (I blame my husband for making me a Caddy convert, but I mean, look at the picture). This Caddy was loaded with all the bells and whistles – HELLO HEATED SEATS AND STEARING WHEEL – and I honestly could not believe within a matter of ~18 hours, I was driving home in it. Back to the beginning, Manny Villegas. Manny shot me a text to see how I felt about the Caddy and what my biggest selling points would be. I told him pretty candidly that I wanted to get into a larger vehicle with a lower APR and ultimately, a lower monthly payment. Manny WENT. TO. WORK. We exchanged texts all day about the car, about my car, etc. etc. Can I just mention how freaking easy and EFFICIENT it was to communicate with someone, a LIVE person, via text? With my hectic schedule, there was no way I would have made it over to Ford to just look let alone get on the phone and hash out details. Manny made it so easy to get this deal done, and he really took my selling points seriously. That alone sold the car. It is not every day, hell, RARELY that you come across a salesman like Manny. He really listened to me, even when I thought that I actually wouldn’t be able to move forward. Manny didn’t like that, and neither did I. But at NO POINT did I feel pressured to buy. At all. I was pretty upfront that if I couldn’t go through with the purchase, I wouldn’t. He understood that, and that meant a lot. I have a tendency to let myself be convinced and it was such a breath of fresh air to have someone, whose job is to SELL, to understand and RESPECT my decisions. Anyway, I left the dealership on night one without my new car. Not going to lie, I was a little bummed. But Manny promised me he would work hard to get me in that vehicle and BOY did he deliver (which, by the way guys, he literally DOES deliver cars to people, like to their houses if it’s needed/requested). Manny called me to let me know that he was able to secure me an AMAZING DEAL – my APR went down a full 2% and my monthly payment dropped down by almost $200 (my husband was thrilled!). So, I happily traded in my Mustang – which again, I got an AMAZING deal on the trade – and drove home one freaking happy camper in my new car, who’ve I’ve affectionately named Reba. If y’all are looking to purchase, lease, trade WHATEVER, Manny Villegas is your man. He is respectful, passionate about his job, loves his family and really wants you to be happy. It’s been 3 months I have recall for my Ford f150 2017 King ranch. I have called 1 months ago and they gave me an appointment for service and also give me loaner car. When I arrived there was guy checking the appointment list to see if my name is in their list. He couldn’t find any thing and after 15min waiting he told me I have to leave my car for few days . I told him I all ready booked the loaner car from them. After 15 min he told me they don’t have any loaner car. And again they gave me an appointment for next month. I have been to Georgetown location as well 2 months ago. Same thing happened. Ford has to look for better customer service than selling more truck . Decently that are going to lose many customers with this behaviour. I am sure I am not going to buy another FORD vehicle . Completely disappointed 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

Don’t waste your time with this dealership they don’t even know what cars they have sold or not. Saturday night they told me a car was available and I can come in first thing Sunday morning to test drive and possibly buy it. Sunday morning happens and I bring someone from my house to drive the other car back. While traveling I get a text from Paul Roberge saying actually never mind the car has been sold to another dealership. This is very frustrating and I would not recommend doing business with them if you value your time.

“Ford Motor Company made an appointment for me to have the passenger air bag replaced on my 2011 Mustang. At the time, the service advisor asked if I needed a ride. I responded that I would bring enough reading to last the day. Covert sent me a couple reminders of the appointment – a nice gesture – but upon early arrival I was informed that the advisor was sick, so someone else would help me. After 15 minutes of waiting, a concerned advisor went to get the “”substitute”” advisor. When asked how long I would be waiting, he told me 5-7 days! But he offerered to set me up with a rental. Since I probably won’t even be in the state by then, I declined. I asked what the wait would be during a slower time. Same. So I’m checking to see if a smaller dealer will be able to schedule an appointment and the work on the same day. Obviously, Covert has earned substantial patronage, but a “”heads up”” about service wait times would be appreciated.”

Don’t service your car here. In the past few years, service quality has really gone downhill. The service advisor churn is at a really a high percentage over the past few years. Also, if you ask about recalls, they would frequently tell us there weren’t any, only to find that Ford would shortly later send us a TSB notice, and Covert knew, but wouldn’t tell us (or more likely, just didn’t bother to look, but either is bad). Very disappointed with their unwillingness to help or work on refining the problem. I complained to the service manager without resolution. Sad to see it happen to a former powerhouse of service.

Unfortunately like other reviews on service, dropped my truck off for an engine light on and back up sensors not working with an 11am apt. Drop off should have been my red flag to just leave, I had to find someone to check in not one person greeted me, and many seemed to be to busy chatting to even see a customer needed help. Second after 6 hours without a call I call for statue and I was shocked to be told that they have not even looked at it and will be tomorrow before they could. At that point I told them to leave it, I picked up my truck with nothing done to it and will be taking it to another dealership.

UPDATE: Covert Ford contacted me within 30 minutes of my post and apologized profusely. They inspected the vehicle at no cost to me and performed the repairs for a reasonable price. I am very impressed with their service and my Confidence in them has been restored. Truck was in pretty good condition from an exterior perspective. Test drive did not raise any alarms for me. Things were broke on my truck and they attempted to fix them. Unfortunately, once I took the truck home the same issues that were “fixed” unfixed themselves. They were minor issues that I fixed myself. When dealing with used cars at this dealership I would highly recommend a thorough inspection of the vehicle by a professional. Overall my sales rep was easy to deal with and not too pushy. This is the only reason I will give Covert a 3 star rating. Test drive did not include speeds over 40mph. Once I bought the car it was apparent that there is a major brake issue. Highway speeds cause violent shaking when the brake is used. This is either due to the master cylinder recall not being fixed or the brake rotors are warped. This is a very serious problem that I was not informed of and is hard to miss. I thought covert ford could be trusted but unfortunately this dealership is held to the same low standards as others. It’s hard to trust a dealership that hides an issue as serious as this.

Purchased a Vehicle from the used car department, me and my fiancé where there for 8 hours, had an approval and everything, signed the contract for the vehicle. Scott the manager in used cars, asked if they could see the keys, someone wanted to see it, I advised them that that was my truck, I will be purchasing it at all cost. They advised me he just wanted to “look at it.” The guy who came from another dealership ends up taking off in the vehicle I had already had a signed contract for and paper plates, had the check already written for deposit and everything. Scott ends up advising me that he would do anything to make it right, said he would build me a truck and give it to me at the same cost, I return to take him on his word, they send me to another sales person, who then gets me a quote for double the deposit, $400 more in a payment, and advised me that I would have to pay for my own lift kit and tire package. The truck that they found was almost 25k more then the original truck. I am very disappointed. This use to be the only dealership I would ever go to, I purchased 2 cars from here before, I do not think I will ever use this dealership again. I’m not upset at the fact that someone purchased the vehicle, I bet they loved it. More disappointed in the fact that Scott would allow another person to do that. I feel as if, they looked down on me, didn’t think I could afford it, and was judged before given an opportunity. I hope no one else has to go through what I went through there.

I went to another dealership a few weeks before my visit to Covert Ford and was very intimidated and discouraged by the whole thing, especially as a young woman. As soon as I walked into Covert Ford, I was met with friendly greetings and worked with Thorne Smith. He was so nice and personable, and made the process so easy. They didn’t try to sell me anything extra that I didn’t want, I didn’t feel pressured at any time, and was in and out! On top of that- I noticed the car had a small scratch on the front bumper before I bought it, and Thorne had me bring it back the following week so they could fix it, free of charge! He set me up with a loaner car and I picked up my car later that week. You couldn’t even tell there was a scratch on it, so props to whoever did the repair. They even cleaned and detailed the entire car inside and out… Then, the cherry on top: They filled my car with a full tank of gas! Covert Ford is truly the best, and they have earned a lifelong customer! 🙂

“I brought my car in due to a popping noise I hear when I back up out of my garage or parking spot. They said it would get looked at the next day, two days later, I call to check on the status of my vehicle and they tell me that the person in charge of my service request quit the day I brought my vehicle in and they basically forgot about me. I give them another few days and they tell me they can’t replicate the issue I’m experiencing. It’s definitely a suspension issue so I asked if they looked at my suspension to see if any CV joints are worn and the person I was speaking to informed me that they only did a visual inspection and there was nothing wrong with my car. I tell them that I need someone to actually check the parts of my suspension rather than just do a “”visual”” inspection that takes less than a minute. I have a warranty that I paid for so I am frustrated with their lack of trying. My final call with them was to inform them that I’d be out of the country for a week and to email me with any updates after thoroughly looking at my suspension. A week has gone by and nothing, no email, no text, no call or voice mails. I’ll be calling first thing tomorrow morning to see what is going on. Not only has my experience been atrocious, but it’s been hard getting in touch with the service department because I keep getting transferred from person to person and disconnected. I am never given a name of whom I am speaking to when they do pick up. I’ll update this review when I get more information regarding the status of my vehicle.”

I love the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid that I just bought from Covert Ford in Austin. My wife has had a C-MAX Hybrid for 6 years and I have seen the gas that one can save. So Hybrid was at the top of my list. I looked at a couple of other Fusion Hybrids, but the one I bought is a Platinum. Because it is 2 years old I paid a very good (low) price for it. It seems to be in top shape. Covert Ford made sure everything worked and was clean. I came back over the next two days with some questions and all the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend Covert Ford especially if you are buying a pre-owned vehicle.

My car was towed in on Sunday August 3rd after having some engine issues. I called Monday to make sure it was taken in on intake as they were closed Sunday. They called and asked what happened to the car and i informed them of the issues and was told i would receive a call back with an update. Called around 2 and the person at reception said they didn’t have my car and asked if I was sure it was even towed to this location. Got a call from a manger a few minutes later that said they did have my car but my advisor wasn’t there. I called at 6 that evening and got hung up on twice and asked to speak to a manager who then proceeded to tell me I would need a new engine. The car is a year and 4 months old. But no one could tell me why I needed an engine. Was told I would get a call Tuesday morning. By 12 I got no call so I called for an update. My advisor Rudely told me that maybe it would be in my best interest to take the car somewhere else since they are TOO high volume. WORST experience from a ford company for a family that has been purchasing ford vehicles for over 20 years. Will not be returning to covert and may never be purchasing a ford vehicle again.

My husband and I were trying to trade is his Chevy Truck for a new Ford they had on the lot. We contacted Covert, did all the paperwork online since we are about two hours from Austin. Our salesman Bert Sheppard called and we discussed the trade in. There was some minor issues with it that needed to be fixed prior to us trading it in. Which we were completely understanding about. When we actually brought the trade in, there was a few more issues that arose that we took care of. When we got there we weren’t even offered to sit inside, mind you it was in the evening and it was already pretty cold. Bert acted like we were there completely wasting his time. Which was absolutely ridiculous because we had just driven 2 hours to get there! We went home we got everything fixed and in order. I tried contacting Bert again, twice and never got a response back. We were treated as if we were trying to rip them off and wasting their time. Completely unprofessional! Luckily we found a new truck with a better deal some place else to do our business at. I called the manager Will, which only proceeded to make excuses for Bert. Regardless of the fact if Bert could not handle our business anymore it should have been properly passed on to the next salesman instead of completely ignoring us! Will never go there again and won’t be recommending anyone else to as well.

***UPDATE*** After getting in touch with the management team, they did reimburse the amount for all four tires and not just the two in question. Because of this, they restored my faith into this dealership. I rank them five out five instead of one out of five. Let’s first start at the beginning of my experience. They where quick to respond and I was satisfied with the sale price that we negotiated. I drove the 2 and half hours to Austin to pay and pick up the mustang. I get there the negotiated price was wrong. I was told that the vehicle had not been inspected, I had drive all the way back home with out the car. Now Manny the salesman stated that when the vehicle had been inspected they would deliver it. So two days later finally got the car delivered. I took the car on a small trip 200 miles round trip. The front end was making a banging sound and the car was pulling to the right. So here I am on the following Monday have $1000.00 with the work done just so it can be aligned, the front tires where almost to the cord. All this could have not been seen in a around the block test drive. So not only the front end work now I have to purchase new tires. The car should have never passed the intake inspection or even the state inspection at that. The whole time when I kept asking when and why is it taking so long, I would get vague updates stating that we want to fix everything so it will be safe for you sir. Yeah ok. Very disappointed with this dealership.

After talking to covert. I was mislead by Martin Boyer at Austin Boats and motors. They do a 14 point inspection when your car comes in for any service. That includes checking the oil. Austin boats and motors don’t check the oil on anything unless you specifically ask them too.

Went in for a “quick” oil change. Went in at 7am, mind you I had an appointment. Didn’t leave til 9:30am. Only to have to come back because they didn’t properly put back a cover for underneath my car. Didn’t even offer to check if having that cover dangling on the ground messed up my tires or anything else. Now I feel uneasy driving my car. What else is gonna fall off?? I would expect this from some Quick oil change place but not a FORD DEALERSHIP!!! Now I’m taking more time to get it inspected at another Ford dealership to see if anything else is wrong.

The Covert Ford Service Department located on 11514 Research Boulevard have low standards of customer service and poor etiquette. I will explain to you in the subsequent paragraphs exactly what occurred and I strongly recommend that customers consider taking their business elsewhere. On Tuesday, June 4, I scheduled an appointment on the company website for Wednesday, June 5 to get my vehicle serviced. On Tuesday, June 4, I received a callback from a Covert Ford representative and confirmed my appointment with the representative from the service department. On June 5, I arrived at the location on Research Boulevard. I am new to the location. At 2:45pm, I checked in at the Front Desk/ Cashiers Desk of the service department. The representative confirmed my appointment and introduced me to the service advisor. The service advisor told me that he would help me. I saw that he was also in the process of helping another customer. I patiently waited in the lobby area of the service department for an hour. During that time, I could visibly see that the service advisor that was assigned to me was helping the same customer for the past hour. I approached the Front Desk/ Cashiers Desk to ask for assistance. I explained to them that I had scheduled an appointment and my service advisor had not assisted me. The lady wearing the baseball cap that sits at the Front Desk was very impolite. Her tone was extremely inappropriate. She was actually chastising me. For example, she stated that I should have found someone else to help me in the lobby area. The other representative behind the Front Desk actually instructed me to go and find another service advisor. Instead of taking ownership and being helpful to a customer, I was essentially told by these representatives that I should have done ‘their job’. The Front Desk/ Cashiers Desk at this location need to be properly trained on how to provide better customer service and overall etiquette. I am very disappointed about the customer service experience. The service advisor eventually helped me. He did not acknowledge the fact that he kept me waiting for an hour. There was no empathy or recognition of the obvious inconvenience that was caused to me. He literally spent fifteen minutes with me. I came to get one tire on my vehicle fixed. The process of replacing one tire does not take twenty four hours. They refused to service my car until the next business day. On June 6, I called the Covert Ford Service Department between 1:00pm to 1:30pm to get an update on my vehicle. My service advisor at that point did not call me. This is yet another example of their low standards of customer service and poor etiquette. In conclusion, I will not be taking my vehicle for servicing to this location. I recommend that other customers take their business elsewhere.Their Front Desk/ Service need to be trained on the basics of customer service and overall etiquette.

Covert Ford is absolutely amazing. I put a down payment on a truck at Maxwell Ford and Will got me in at the last minute before buying a truck elsewhere. Will and Ron were not pushy and very good at their jobs. Maxwell Ford wouldn’t give me my down payment back either. Maxwell Ford is extremely shady and misleading. I honestly hope I can help others decide it’s not worth going to Maxwell. I’d pay $1000 more for the same truck at Covert. Your dealership is outstanding. I will never step another foot in any other dealership for a Ford purchase or service.

Recently purchased a 2019 Mustang from Covert Ford in Austin. Let me begin by saying that buying a car is one of my least favorite things to do. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased by the excellent and (most importantly) low pressure buying experience. It takes me a while to finally come to a decision to make a big purchase such as a new car. I felt absolutely no pressure from my salesman, Bob Russell. He allowed me to take my time and proceed when I was comfortable and ready to do so. This was the best car-buying experience I have ever had.

To start I would not recommend doing business here at all. I purchased a used vehicle here a few years ago it was fine ,I went back today to purchase a new vehicle when it got to the financing aspect is when they show thier full dishonest colors. They advertised zero percent financing for this truck, when I questioned the numbers not matching up the salesman came back and said if you use the zero percent you lose 8 thousand in rebates .Excuse me ?? This was not what was advertised on their site a pure old dishonest car financing. I will never do business here again. I suggest highly buyer beware.

Our salesperson, Bob Russell was both friendly and knowledgeable. He listened to exactly what features and options we were looking for. We looked a several trucks and settled on a Magnetic Gray F150 XLT 4×4 (we love the color!). Truthfully I would avoid this dealer for service work! I made an appointment told them exactly what was wrong with the car I had already pulled the engine code. I went in to have the part replaced and get told it’s going to be an additional $99 fee to diagnose the check engine light even though I’ve already pulled the code and told them what it needs. I was not told about this fee whenever I made the appointment. Even at $100 an hour for shop labor it’s a fifteen-minute job to pull a code it should not be $99 for a diagnostic on a check engine light. This $99 fee lost my business forever which is unfortunate because I’m going to be in the market for a new Ford and there’s not many Ford dealers but I’ll have to drive out town for one then

It was an easy process to set up an appointment and pick-up time for our Lincoln Nautilus. The driver was a little late to get to our house but we received a call saying he was on his way but would be a little late. We were not able to drive the Lincoln loaner vehicle because it smelled if someone had been smoking in the vehicle and we are both allergic to smoke. Our Nautilus was returned with the warranty work completed. All of the people we dealt with at Covert Ford were professional and courteous.

They got me. Called to discuss a truck on the website. Texted back and forth with the guy about a 2019 F150. Came to an agreement on price, told him I was on my way to pick it up. When I got there he wasn’t there and the manager told me the truck was out on loan and had been for 20 days but I could put a deposit down and come back next week to pick it up after trying to upsell me in a bunch of stuff. Wasted my time and purposefully deceptive. Not impressed. Went to Mak Haik and bought a different one with no trouble.

Covert is the best and most honest, straight-forward new car shopping experience I have found. My most recent experience was at Covert Ford on 183N (Research blvd). I live southwest of Austin but still go out of my way to cross the city, despite horrible traffic, to shop at Covert. They got me right in and since the recall only needed a computer update, I was in and out in short order. Bringing your truck in for repairs is usually a hassle. Not at Covert Ford. They treat you well, have great amenities and even drove me home. The last time I had my F 150 serviced they offered my a loaner truck. Answered all my questions and kept me updated on the repairs. They have a lifetime customer in me. Follow up: I had a part fixed under warranty last week. While my truck was there I asked about changing the spark plugs. I couldn’t believe it it when the price I was quoted from the dealership was less than my local mechanic! Fantastic, never had that happen before.

I was going to buy a new car in the next few months and due to this change, I will not be going to Covert. First come, first serve? Unacceptable when a buyer has a package. I bought a used Ram 2500 from Covert Ford two months ago. Tim E. was patient throughout the selling process, answered my questions, and was able to provide a fair price. A few weeks after owning the truck, the check engine light came on. This is where Tim and Covert Ford earned their 5 stars. Tim immediately got the truck into the Dodge dealership for diagnosis. The truck had an issue with the turbo actuator, they quickly replaced the necessary parts at no cost to me. Since the repair, I have been on three long trips with the truck, one where I was towing a travel trailer. No issues, truck is running great. “Terrible customer service experience. My Explorer needed the lock mechanism replaced on the driver’s side door after a failed burglary attempt. Made the appointment weeks ago with specific information about the repair requirements. When I showed up, they were initially unable to locate the appointment. After awhile they finally found it and said that my service advisor was no longer employed there and I had been assigned another one but he wasn’t there. Then I was informed that the Trim department, which would be handling the repairs was backlogged and there were 18 vehicles ahead of me. It would be at least a day before they could even assess my vehicle. I had not made any arrangements for this type of inconvenience. None of this was ever communicated to me, it was all very “”covert.””I will not be using any of the Covert dealerships for anything in my lifetime.”

The service department is the worst I have seen. Although other Ford dealerships are horrible too (Lief, Maxwell…) this one is the worst. I would never buy another Ford again solely due to the service I have received at these dealerships. This dealership told me to bring in my truck to get looked at then when I show up at 7 AM, there is a 2 day wait. This is also after the receptionist assured me it would get looked at in the morning. The dealership does not have loaners or rentals. The shuttle drops me off at a depleted Enterprise car rental. I took my truck back and will take it to another mechanic for service. How can they honor warranties if this is the maintenance model??? It is clear that Ford only cares about one thing – sales. Not service and not customers. UPDATE– after a relatively rapid response from Ford management they offered to speak to me directly about the issue. I immediately sent my personal cell number to him via email. That was 10 days ago… No response from Ford. UPDATE– 3 months later – still no response from Ford. Will never buy another Ford for this reason alone.

Update on previous post, Scott, Thorne and Jessie definitely made it up. Thorne would continue to stay in contact with me until he found something that I liked, then between him and Scott they made an amazing deal out of it. Did not feel like I was being had at any moment. He did not pressure me into any purchase and made sure I was 100% satisfied, if I had any concerns he would go out of his way to make it happen. Felt like family. Thorne and Jesse did an amazing job making sure I did not have to be in the dealership waisting my time, everything was taken care of by them, and I was in and out in 30 minutes combined time. Definitely if you are looking for an amazing friend not a sales person ask for Thorne, you tell him what you want and he will find it, and if you don’t like it. He will not make you or pressure you into taking it. He doesn’t give up on you and to me that’s amazing.
