I have had my vehicle serviced here for the past 3 years. I have never had a reason to doubt the integrity of the technicians or service manger until 3/10/2021. I went in for a routine oil change and found out I had a leak. To have the leak fixed was pretty expensive, so I asked to see what was leaking. It was not a new leak. I had my oil changed a month prior and they should have told me about the leak then. I asked why they didn’t notify me previously and they had no answers. The service manager then proceeds to offer me 10% off my services. There is a 10% coupon that is on the website, that was the least he could do. This visit has fostered so much distrust. Did the technician wait until the leak was bigger and I would have to spend more money, or did he carelessly perform his job the last time I had my vehicle serviced? This cannot be the standards in which Mike Smith Auto Group, or Chrysler Jeep Ram FCA operates. I will no longer bring my vehicle here because I do long trust them to do their job.

I Had my 2019 Ram 1500 appointment scheduled and upon my arrival I was promptly waited on by one of their courteous staff. My truck was taken straight in within 5 minutes . I had my oil changed 24 point inspection and tires rotated and had a couple of other things checked out , which turned out to be a simple plastic inner fender well linings rubbing my tire on a sharp left turn. Just a matter of clipping back into position . I only had to wait about an hour and a half for completion. I am very satisfied with the friendly staff and quality service.

Amazing experience. My salesmen was very well prepared and had the deal and all documents ready when I got off work. The finance employee also had everything ready and was the most painless quick experience. I was in an out of the dealership within an hour! Overall I give it a 10!!

“Very friendly staff. Repair/service department works on Saturday which is very helpful due to my work schedule. Apparently it is useful for a bunch of other folks….i had an appointment for oil change, usually figure on a 30 minute “”in & out””. This time it was an hour and 15 minutes. Thankfully i had company work to do on my laptop so it was not a big concern. The digital coupons provided on a regular basis are real money savers.”

The service office seems to be rather unorganized. We called a week in advance to make an appointment for new tires & provided the exact information of the tires we wanted and got the quoted price. A day before our appointment, my husband called and they were unaware what tires we wanted & needed to move our appointment back 15 minutes. Again the tire information was provided over the phone to make sure they had them in stock. The day of the appointment, they again were unaware of what tires we wanted and ended up having to go to a partner dealership to pick up the tires because they did not have them on site. Despite all that, what I will say is that Chris is phenomenal. I have dealt with him twice now & he is excellent at customer service. He is friendly, knowledgable, and will go the extra mile. He dealt with my tire policy the last time I had a leak and was able to work with them to get it covered, despite their efforts not to pay for it. Thank you Chris! I’ll go back just to deal with him.

This was by far the best experience we have had purchasing a vehicle. We were not even out of our car when Mr. Gibson was on his way to meet us across the lot. Everything went very smooth and everyone was so courteous. We were in and out rather quickly, which is a big deal to me. Very disappointing in this dealership in comparison to others, my wife purchased a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee here and problems are starting to accumulate that usually do not accompany new vehicles. having a few electrical issues and I’ve already had to replace the front brake system, flooded vehicle maybe??? they cannot control vehicle issues but through my years is what separates the best from the others is how well they try to take care of you and be reasonable for issues that come up even if the warranty is slightly expired if you purchased a new vehicle from them…. to keep your business…. They failed miserably and did not even care….. Service advisor had to be called multiple times. all the way up to the service manager to get simple things accomplished or answered… we filed a complaint with corporate and all of our business has been transferred to Mid County CJDR… do yourself a favor and go there first. They care to keep your business. and do not copy and paste auto respond to every negative review 🙂

Went well: Advisor Chris keep me up dated along way. Oil change, brakes replaced, went quickly. Improvement area: Recalls and water leak took calling manager to get truck looked at and worked on. Recalls at Mike Smith Dodge or Mike Smith Honda have been a problem as they “try to find time to do them” and car waits for days.

I’ll never visit this place again. I scheduled and 8:30 appointment all to pick my truck up at 1:45 with nothing done to it. Jessica in service needs to be retrained because she doesn’t know how to follow up with her customers nor does she know how to clearly explain the wait times. Only reason I have yall one star was because I couldn’t leave a review without it.

I had high hopes for bringing our nieces car here for a once over(she just got it and doesn’t have her license yet). I was surprised to be told that The initial diagnosis was free… when I made the appointment, a full week before bringing the car in, it was set for 7:30am and I made them aware I would be waiting for it.. they also asked if there was anything, in particular, that we wanted looked at closer. I told them the sunroof wasn’t working, that we needed a remote programed to the car. (I was made aware that this would cost $80.) And that the airbag light was on. We arrived 7 minutes late. I was told it shouldn’t take long. We browsed the car lot waiting. Left and went to other car lots, and even had a late breakfast. Two hours pass. I text for an update to be told there are a few people ahead of your car…. how is that possible when I made the appointment 1 week ahead of arriving? At 1:45pm I received a text letting me know my car was “next in line”. Yes 6 hours after dropping the car off. At 4:30pm I was told the fob could not be programmed and received an email that made me aware that they “observed” that the sunroof didn’t work.. and that they couldn’t program the remote to the car but that I would still have to pay the $81 because they tried.. They never mentioned anything about the airbag light. So in a nutshell I was charged $81 for them to babysit my niece’s car for 10 hours. I would hate to have seen how long it would have taken had I not had an appointment or said I was not waiting..

If you’re unfortunate to own a Dodge that has the battery buried under the wheel well, and it needs to be replaced, you’ll pay $364 at this dealer….for battery and labor. I have pipes busted in my house and no water. …..all I need is an expense of $364 to replace a battery. I just think the price is exorbitant!

I was hopeful that this dealership could help me out because of the great reviews. However, the service I received was very poor. I came in on Wednesday to have them run a simple diagnostic on my Jeep Cherokee. The kind lady at the service department informed me that it would be done in 1 to 2 days, but most likely 2 because they were very busy. Understandable for sure. When I got back home (had to have family pick me up because they would not provide a courtesy vehicle) I received a text saying if I need anything to let them know. This was a positive thing. Fast forward to Friday, I call asking for a status and send a text. No response. It will get done today they said. So I come in Saturday morning and I am greeted with a different person who says the Transmission guy is on vacation and that they won’t be able to look at my car until Monday. Very unprofessional to not let me know up front that the guy that I need isn’t even on the property. I came in for a simple diagnostic test and left 4 days later without anyone even looking at the vehicle. It was parked in the exact spot I left it. Praying that my car can get me back home safely.

Worked with Jay for a week on a 2020 truck, the saturday we were going to by it, we show up and truck he said he would have ready wasn’t even there. When we asked where it was, he started pouting and said it’s just not fair for us to get it at the sister dealership. We needed the truck for the following day, so we were going to buy that day. He got attitude, stood the with crossed arms and acted like a toddler that didn’t get his cookies. Before we even walked out of the dealership, we found THE PERFECT truck for $5000 less at Mark Dodge in LA. They were extremely friendly and had everything ready to go when we walked through their door !

I went on Saturday 08/15/20 at 2:45 pm because I tried to charge a battery that I purchased new in May 2019; after waiting for an 1:45 we were informed that the battery wasn’t charging and the battery would have to remain to receive the warranty to code before the battery would be exchanged. The young lady who assisted us on Saturday told us someone would call us on Monday morning with the status of the exchange. We waited until 11:00 and my wife went back to the service center because no one had called to find out the person who assisted us on Saturday was that Monday and she had to wait another 20 minutes to be informed the machine went down and they would have to start the machine up again in order to get the code again and this time the Service Manager I think her name was Laura informed me that it would be another 1hour and didn’t return until after 2 hours and the service manager wasn’t there and Chris Henry whom I have assisted us every time we go there had to track down the service order, which was on a another service person desk and nothing was done until Chris got the service order and talked to service mechanic and inventory clerk to make sure the battery was in stock and placed in my automobile. Everyone else don’t provide the same courtesy of professionalism as Chris. This shouldn’t have taken this long if others would show courtesy to all your customers that come their for service on their vehicles. I will not purchase another vehicle from this dealership because of the service department.

Service was fine, fairly quick on the diagnostic of my vehicle. Took about a week to repair, but to be fair hurricane Laura hit that same week so no fault there. My biggest complaint is communication, other than the diagnostic report and pricing, I could never get a hold of or a response from my advisor. Emails, phone calls, and messages none of which were responded to. My wife had to call multiple times just to get any info. My car was fixed but if I didn’t continually call I wouldn’t have known it.

I always have a great car buying experience with the Mike Smith dealership. They make it easy and quick. One of the best reasons I go here is Iva Triplett. I just bought my 3rd vehicle with him as my salesman. He takes care of everything. I don’t even pick out my vehicle anymore. I just tell him what I want and he finds the perfect vehicle every time. Car buying is the least stressful thing for me thanks to Iva. I should also note that I live in Houston. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Horrid communication, on all fronts. Will never go back. Scheduled a transmission and alignment appointment over the phone on 7/20. Upon arrival to my appointment on 7/22, was asked about all of the things I discussed as issues over the phone previously; like there were no notes or appointment created. I was told it would be a while before it was looked at (which was not discussed in my previous phone conversation). Obtained a ride home and did not hear a status update until 3:40 pm on 7/22 via text that the tech had not even touched it and they should know more the next day. On 7/23, I text at noon to ask for a status update and did not receive a response. At 2:30 pm, I showed up at the service center and was told it was “dispatched second for the day but there were other big jobs and it had not been touched yet.” I left and heard nothing else for the rest of the day. At 8:15 am on 7/24, I called for a status update and was told “it was third on the list to do today for transmission and the alignment has not been done yet either.” EXTREMELY disappointed. What was the point of Calling to schedule a diagnostic appointment when it was going to be DAYS before they even looked at it with little communication.

While traveling in Texas from Louisiana the fuel pump my 2010 Ram 1500 decided to check out. My wife and I were stranded on the incline of an overpass. A quick search showed that Mike Smith Dodge was about 6 miles away. I called for roadside, then called Mike Smith. I explained out situation, and the service department quickly dispatched someone to pick up. Oh….the sky was about storm on us. We made it just before the rain started. Once we arrived I explained our situation to the friendly people in the service department, left my truck with a dealership that was completely unknown to me. They kept me posted every step of the way, and once my truck was ready, they provided a way for me to pay online. Once we got there, the service members recognized our Louisiana plates and by the time we walked up my truck was pulled up and ready to go. A true 5 star experience!

Never using again! Made an appointment for a reason! I told them on phone what my vehicle was doing , I got there to find out I would need to leave my car over night – ( I was already leaving it for 5 hours) there wa son way I could leave it over night , I asked if someone could just drive it to least tell me what it was doing and the lady told me yes 5 hours later when I was ready to pick my car up found out no one had drove it, they sent a invoice saying my breaks needed to be replaced I asked them how much precent was left and they had no idea what I was talking about after about 15 mins I’m finally told they have 2 1/2 percent on one and 3 percent on another they was very severe , so the next morning I brought it to another dealership to have it done because it would be cheaper to find out they are nowhere near needing to be replaced , I will never use this place again!

I’m giving Mike Smith only two stars because I wasn’t told that the key fob I paid $216 for didn’t come with an actual key until after it was programmed. On top of that it was an extra $83 to program it and if I wanted a key for the fob an extra $41. The prices are ridiculous at the dealership I wish I could have somewhere cheaper. Other than that the service I received from employee was good.

Didn’t like waiting 3 weeks and my opinion as I read the power train warranty anything that is attached to the engine that affect the performance the vehicle is covered under warranty. Mike Smith CJD said no it was not covered. Knock sensors (2) were bad. I will never take anything else to them.

Service went ok. I liked the online approval for recommendations so I could review it and do my own research before feeling pressured to agree. I do feel some of the recommendations were overpriced and unnecessary. If I had not done my research and known what everything was, I would have overpaid by almost $1,000. I understand this is a “specialist” dealership and I definitely want someone specialized to work on my truck. However, I think general services should be more competitively priced and get a technician who isn’t specialized and pay them a lower wage to do more generalized services. They also didn’t have rental vehicles when my service took all day and I had to get other errands done. The staff was nice enough, but not overly helpful or courteous.

1st. The finance agent Stephanie was wonderful. She was very helpful and informative. But, our sales rep Kevin promised black rims which we did not get he also said they would come and pick up one of the cars we were using for trade in. The big thing was he told us our note would be one amount and when we got to finance it was way off.
Tried to give me a WHOLE LOT less ($4000.00) on a Chevy Tahoe that had very low miles. The whole haggling was ridiculous as always. Took it today to get vehicle detailed and they broke rear taillight. Noticed it when pumping fuel. Informed the salesperson and still haven’t heard from him.

Positives: Service was very fast, efficient, and easy process. They were prompt and on time to start. Negatives: Initial contact assistants didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the vehicle and needs of the vehicle.

“Saw several unsatisfactory reviews. Still gave this place a chance. Waste of time. Knew I had a head gasket issue or cracked cylinder which an engine rebuild would have resolved. Was ready to pay whatever cost for this but was advised by their “”certified”” technician that an engine replacement was the only option. Felt my intelligence was insulted and I feel sorry for anyone that does not know about engine repair getting service here. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never visit this place ever again. Three thumbs down.”

My appointment was at 11:45 but since I was in the area, I dropped the vehicle around 9:30. I was in no rush, and by the time I got my errands taken care of. I received a phone call. From my service advisor letting me know my vehicle was complete. It was done a whole hour before my original drop off time. THATS GOOD BUSINESS IN MY BOOK!!

She said she needed my contact information but as of now I still haven’t heard back from her. The A/C quit Update: I spoke with the General Mike and he was extremely helpful and addressed my ALL of my concerns. This is the third vehicle I have purchased with them and with service like this I definitely be returning and referring family and friends. It’s nice to deal with someone that values their customers.

Made an appointment , and when i shoud up, they had no record of my appointment untill i showed them a confirmation of the appointment that they sent me threw a text.they told me they were behind,and that i could make an appointment . What was the point of setting one up if they can’t follow threw with it… The service clerks are not very friendly on top of all this. He made it a point to keep in touch, make sure I was up to date with info from the insurance company, and made sure I had a ride to pickup my vehicle. Mike Smith service department use to be reliable and professional, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. I brought my vehicle in For a minor problem that’s covered under warranty, i guess Mike Smith service department felt like the problem wasn’t worth fixing because it doesn’t affect the vehicle mechanically. I won’t be doing business here anymore.

Mike Smith Collision Center kept in touch and kept me up to date. They further collaborated with both me and my insurance company. However, when I went to pick vehicle up after initial repairs, discovered another problem (water leak from Jeep top). They kept vehicle and spoke to insurance. Ultimately, additional problem was my responsibility and when I went to pick up vehicle from Mike Smith Service Center, not sure it was actually repaired, as carpet remained wet. Vehicle was filthy, foam and gummy substance all over and inside Jeep panels were full of fingerprints with that gummy substance. Vehicle was there almost a month and given that coupled with money involved and that I bought the Jeep from Mike Smith, just thought at the very least, the vehicle would have been detailed. Oh well, this day and age, that’s what you get I suppose. Update – To be clear, Kevin at the Collision Center provided excellent customer service and the repairs were on point. 5 Stars! The GM (Mike) contacted me and after a subsequent assessment at the Service Center, the leak was the product of a deteriorating gasket. He made the situation right and had my Jeep detailed. I would increase this rating to 4 Stars.

“Horrible service today!!! I received a call from the adviser, that I did not even meet when I dropped my vehicle off for my scheduled appointment for a safety recall this morning letting me know it was ready. I replied stating I need the shuttle service to pick me back up. I asked for an estimated time for the shuttle’s arrival so I could let my job know around what time I would be back to work. The adviser stating that he would have to call and ask the shuttle’s driver. Adviser never called back. I continued to call the adviser but he never returned any calls. I also left a voicemail, again he never called back. It took almost an hour for me to finally speak with someone. The lady at the service desk informed me that he never even told the shuttle to pick me up! I was informed that the adviser called the shuttle’s driver AFTER the service desk already told the driver to pick me up and he still never called me back. After waiting a total of a little over an hour and a half, the shuttle finally arrived to bring me back to the dealership… It was also recommended that I replace my cabin air filter because the adviser stated “”it was really dirty.”” After getting off the phone while I was waiting for the shuttle that I thought was coming to pick me up, I remembered I just had my cabin air filter replaced by them 3 months earlier when I was last there. Again, I called multiple times and to let them know that they just replaced it and it should not be time for a new one and I do not want them to replace it… Since my vehicle was last worked on by Mike Smith, only about 3,000 miles were driven since they “”replaced”” my cabin air filter and they are telling me that my cabin air filter is already in need for replacement?? That makes me believe that the filter was not replaced when I brought it in 3 months ago as the mechanic that worked on my car today showed me what supposedly was my old cabin air filter that was dirty. That adviser that originally called me was not even there when I went to pick up my vehicle… I still have not received any calls back from that adviser that was suppose to be assisting me with my vehicle… You’re definitely better taking your business elsewhere.”

She kept me up to date on things, dealt with my warranty issues, got me in a rental and her quick professional follow up got me in and out with only a 24 hour turn around and considering other dealerships we’re giving me a 2 week window and there were several things needed done to my vehicle that turnaround was awesome! Wait was extremely long, from 8:30 am – 11:40 ish, but the root of the problem was resolved! Not the low tire indicator switch this time, like the last time on a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with about 130 miles on it, at that time, this time, approximately 2949 miles it was an actual nail in the tire! So, they did it and I’m glad they found the problem, that’s it!!! Overall, be patient, and you will get it one, and done!!!
